science

Had some Cmps stuff yesterday at Pei Hwa Prestabryian (?) Pri Sch yesterday.
We ogranised booths with games and stuff.
The primary school kids were so cute!
One of them actually gt her game stopped halfway but she wanted to continue. She asked me if we were here until friday. But sadly no. D:
We also had NAPFA yesterday. I think that we improved :D

Today's science lesson was SO FUNNY!
Mdm rozana wanted to set some ground rules for the topic that shes gonna teach next: sexual reproduction.
everyone started laughing and stuff.
Mdm roz made many funny comments and that set us off.
Her version of sex education when she was young:
Once upon a time, (mdm) roz, a primary school kid, was feeling bored. She picked up an encyclopedia that belonged to her father. She started flipping and flipping. She fumbled around and played with the pages of the book. Suddenly, she came across something........ a picture of a........... NAKED MAN. She stared agape. There was a (picture of a) man in front of her. Naked. To make things worse, it was not a drawing but a picture. She stared, shocked. (mdm)Roz was bewildered. She could not believe her eyes. Wait. If there is a picture of a naked man....... then there must be a picture of a naked woman! She flipped the pages hurriedly and she found it. OMG! Wait again. If there is a picture of a man and a picture of a woman..... then there must be a picture of a man AND women! She scanned through the pages and voila! She really did find it. And that was how Mdm Roz went through her sex education.
Haha. The actual version is obviously NOT like that. The above is just a funnier one.
The way mdm roz talked about it was hilarious! Her big eyes were like popping out dramatically when she was narrating it too! HAHAHAH. XD
if you wanna say something, say it in front of me and dun talk behind my back.

CLEO by Helen Brown

Storyline: A woman who loses her eldest son is devastated. Her life seems to have no meaning. Just then, a tiny little black cat arrived. She is shocked for the cat was actually for her dead son. He had chosen the cat himself... before he died. Seeing her younger son smile for the first time after his brother's death, the women reluctantly takes in the cat, not knowing that the cat would help in the process of rebuilding her family and life.

Verdict: An okay book which is a good read. It is touching. As the author narrates out signficant incidents and heart-breaking moments, you would definitely be able to connect with her. The cat's death is also heart-rendering and I almost cried. I have a feeling that Yuan Wen will like this cat book!(x

supermakets

hey. erm. i went with my grp to supermarket on sunday. memory kinda weak.
so will briefly say only.
my group consists of jinheok, weirong, gen, zhenyang.
we met at giant first at 10.30am. zhenyang got LOST and ended up 'late'.
copied for around 1hour then went to century square.
went to NTUC finest and copied in 30min. cuz very little stuff. all high-class mahs. XD
quarelled over where to eat. poor zhenyang gt pulled in involuntarily cuz he kinda ate lunch already when he was lost at giants. HAHAH.
finally, went to popeyes. jinheok complained too expensive and went to food junction with zhenyang.
chick burger was VERY BIG. jinheok finished already and came up and steal our french fried.
kinda like we gave it to him willingly. too much cant finish. ._.
took mrt to city hall, raffles city.
played slap game throughout the whole journey.
finished copying in 20min. met yuping.
gave her bad news that they were supposed to copy prices too. haha.
walked LONG LONG LONG LONG way to carrefour.
jinheok was over-reacted and kept reminding us that we were ninjas. -.-
took pics in the end, secretly of course :D
and pretended to sms when we were typing down the brands and prices. wr and gen gt fed up and ended up writing down everything.
finally finished. was damn tired. was around 4pm at that time.
FINISHED IN RECORD TIME. :D
took circle line back home. ate black pepper crayfish for dinner :D

--
Today was okay, very tired. legs aching dunno why. discussing SIP and stuff. our sip damn slow lahs.
and gonna do TKAM lit circle later.
today's assembly talk was boring. though there were some funny parts.
ACC test was fun! our group gt the highest and our prizes were good grades and a packet of green tea leaves. haha. :) will miss tea lessons.
but then i am more eager for next term's stuff: LSP and Art!!!!! woohoo! (:
HCL was scary today. leelaoshi was so mad at us because of our chi spelling. 90% of us failed. terribly.
i guess it was 'cause we did not really know what to study and stuff. she picked up words and phrases from the book. during the test, my mind just went blank sometimes. D:
tomorrow gt chi test D: scared!!!!!! jiayous to everyone!!! :D

fusion

today was the big day. fusion.
just in case for those who do not know, fusion is something like a competition where you can sing, dance or act.
well, today went kinda well i guess.

chiong-ed maths graph assignment during CME. the teacher was damn funny in her way of speaking about events. luv this CME teacher. :D then, had recess and stuff. maths was boring as usual. I got even less marks than what I did in the previous test. I got 5/12. D: For the other test, I got 15/17 :D heehee. happy~

after that, the fire alarm rang!!!! :D :D :D :D everyone immediately stood up and cheered! haha. the drill has totally failed in its objective: instil a sense of urgency in us when all we care about is missing lessons. BUT. we were missing LA!!!! gah. i would rather miss history than LA. LA rocks more than history. kinda i guess. Anyway, I improved in LA for my compre and summary. very happy~ :)

so, we stood in the hot sun. so unfortunate. we waited and waited. listened to teacher say how long did each level settle down. year 2 got 10mins 40+sec i think. it is actually kinda slow lahs. I mean, in pri sch, we can come down in like 5mins! xD then, made our way back after much delay. after that, I kinda wanted lessons in the so-much-more comfortable classroom rather than climbing 6 storeys down and up and stand in the sun just to miss lessons. :P

fusion was okayyyyyyy.
it was kinda fun actually. nic decided to pon SMO. krys and I then rehearsed. at first we were all kinda shy i guess. no one really dare to sing out loud. by singing around 6 times, we managed to confirm the parts that we were taking and stuff. then for the next 5 repeats, we corrected tunes, pronounciation and stuff. :D i think after that we practised about 5 times. WOW. that's a lot of times. like almost 20 lehs. so pro eh. 8D
but we were there like 1h30min just singing. then, we went and disturb gen's grp. hehe.
i received and missed calls made by the person-in-charge. Went to music prac room 2 and saw ppl inside. So went out then the person call us into music prac room 3 to 'warm-up'.
by then I was like damn nervous sia.
sang for a while. kept jumping whenever we heard the door open. haha. xP
then gen and suting came. we sang to them to 'get the feel of it'. was quite okay i guess. not as scary as i thought :D then practised somemore. now we were more 'open'. :)
then gen's grp members came and practised and more practice.
finally, it was our turn. we went into the room. was damn cold. kinda added on to the nervousness. cracked some jokes to soothe the nerves. haha. then we sang. there were some mistakes along the way but overall, I would think it was okay lahs. :D for a last min rehearsal, it would not score too bad. :D
thanks to nic and krys who joined me on fusion! had a great time! :D

gah. tomorrow got NAPFA, Malay and Chinese test. Haven't learnt chi yet..... sian. recalled last time during pri sch also never learn. always last min chiong one. haha. hope I wont fail sia. downloading the ipod software. so slow~ hmph. just finished FPS. the last prob looks weird. but wadeva. xD

CAF

Yo people! sorry for lack of posts. kinda  lazy these days to post regularly.
Firstly, I will talk about my first day of CS CCA.
It was kinda fun yet awkward. I guess it is because I do not know anyone there except Tong Lin. Made a few friends. When we were saying rao kou ling I was so lost.
We then had to group up to perform a short skit. Truthfully speaking, I feel that it was failure and the people that I was grouped up with were kinda not serious. So it turned out kinda.... weird I guess.
After that was CAF. Did maths hmwk while waiting for the guides.
Then Nic, Gen, Grace and Krystal came. Bought some stuff and ate. Accompanied Krystal to wait for her father. Afterwards, we made our way up to Arts Room.
The performance was kinda boring at the starting. It was partially because the mic was spoiled so we can't exactly hear properly. During the interval, we tried to play with Ms Kheng's son but he ignored us and wanted to go back home. haha. Ms Kheng's son is SO CUTE. :D
The second half after the interval was DAMN FUNNY LAHS. BoNing acted in a skit and he had to hit his head several, in fact many times. Haha. Poor thing. Then there was a play. There was this man whose wife and daughter died in a car crash. His friend went to encourage him to move on with life. There was this particular part when the friend handed a mic to the man. He made the action seem so emotional and dramatic that we all thought that the 'thing' was something that was impt and was going to motivate him. Turns out it was a mic! We were all laughing! HAHAH. Then, when the man imagined seeing his wife and daughter, one of the 'wife' 's spaghetti stripe of her dress dropped. We were like all talking about it. Then halfway through the emotional part, the daughter helped the 'mother' put back the stripe! HAHAHAH. EPIC SIA.
During the play, I actually received 4 messages from Ms Kheng. 3 were empty and 1 was attached with a multimedia file. I replied, asking why she was sending me so many msg. She replied, 'Sorry. It must be my son.' HAHAHA. It was so funny and ironic because just a moment ago, her son dao me! haha. XD

Currently have a lot of projects going on. Geog and stuff. GAH. Have to study malay too! and FPS!!!!!!! D:
Feel like just breaking down! ><

[edited]
For electives, I got into Culinary! I was like going in at 6.10pm and there were quite a lot of vacancies. Was torn between culinary and cartoon. Then since a lot of people go culinary, I went too :D
Poor Nicole g. She had no choice but to go Maths elective. haha. Jiayous and try to survive. Dont worry 'cause you got Ying Xuan. ;P

reptile

OMG. when I was on the 158 bus making my way back home, guess what I saw???
A REPTILE WHICH LOOKS LIKE A TINY CROCODILE SWIMMING IN THE SMELLY CANAL NEAR MACS.
So cool right?!!!!!! I really regret not getting down the bus to take a picture of it. I was so shocked to that THING! I am not sure what it was but I am pretty sure that it was a reptile, something like a lizard, except bigger. Maybe as big as you hand to your elbow. WOW WOW WOW.
I still remember when I came from softball with Jing Wen and Nicole I think. We were passing the bridge when we saw a reptile in the big canal. It was soooooo cool! When we went down to get a closer look, it disappeared. We tried ways to make it appear by throwing rocks, but it didn't.
It is SO COOL. Never knew that Singapore could be full of small surprises like that! :D

Today was fun. We had literary circle and socratic discussion.
Socratic discussion was funny. At the starting, people were shy and did not dare to voice out comments. But afterwards, objections and views started pouring out. I was in the Farquhar team. It was also especially funny when a few people came up at the same time to take a stick. Haha. When we used the example of an infant as Singapore, people said that it was digression. I was like, "It is not digression! It is an example!!!" HAHA.
Literary circle was okay. We first had the expert group. Xuhua and Shinmin were summarizers too. They were obviously talking about something else. It was only at the later part then they contribute. Though quite little. ><
When we were at out individual groups, I said my summary. Jin Heok was complaining, "Eh, you are saying all our points already leh." HAHA. When I FINALLY finished my summary, they clapped. Guess it was because of the detailed summary.
When Jin Heok said his part, Suting kept pretending to be bored. haha.
When it was Alvin's turn, he said a whole bunch of stuff. Very long. When he finally finished one part of his 'talk', we asked where he was at. He had only said TWO PARAGRAPHS. LOL.
It was Suting's turn, she was an illustrator. She drew stickmen as characters. I was asking, why was Boo smiling. haha. Then, she explained about the picture. At the end of it, I said, "Your signature is very nice." HAHA. XP
Then it was Krystal. We kinda flipped to page after page. And we discussed.
Then it was Nicole w. She was the Question Director. She asked a few pretty good questions. :D We answered some and kinda side tracked I guess. :P

Well, today went kinda well. :) Trying to choose which LA artefact im gonna do. And fusion!!!!!! Gah.

movies

CLASH OF THE TITANS 3D
On Good Friday, I went to watch Clash of the Titans with my parents :)

Storyline: Well, kinda like Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, the main motivation that keeps the protagonist going is his rage for revenge. Perseus fights demons and creatures from the netherworld (Medusa). Eventually, he falls in love like any other hero.

Verdict: Well, nice effects and all but the 3D was not 3D enough. It should be really POPPED OUT. I guess it is cause it was a 2D-convert-3D movie. But still... And the storyline just isn't novel enough. But the fighting moments helped it lift the mark up. The pretty women in it helped too. x) The comedic moments in it livened the movie up. The irony in it too...(scorpian king trying to kill the giant scropian.... take that.)

Rating: 3.5/5 An okay movie which will set your heart pumping.

THE TIME TRAVELLER'S WIFE
Watched it because my father rented the disc. :D

Storyline: Henry met Clare when she was just 6 and when Henry was 40+. Now, Henry, 20+, is meeting Clare, 20+, for the first time. Amzing huh? Well, Henry is a time traveller. He travels involuntarily and whenever he does, he arrives at his destination naked as he does not get to bring his clothed along. (wow.) The time travelling tests the couple's love as Clare risks miscarriage due to the time travelling child. Another horrible truth dawns upon Henry as well....

Verdict: Wonderful movie. Absolutely wonderful. The actor and actress (Henry and Clare) should be given an award for this. They had so much chemistry and the acting was just great! :) Luv them. The touching storyline is sure to break your heart. You will definitely want to read the book after this! (I just reserved it! xD)

Rating: 4/5 A great movie! Must-watch! :)

14 BLADES
My dad rented the disc. :D

Storyline: China in the olden times. There is a plan to throw the country into chaos. Qinglong, a skilled swordsman who uses the legendary 14 blades, is determined to stop the plan.

Verdict: The storyline about China and blah blah is kinda hard to get with so many names like Prince Qing and stuff. The fighting is exciting, as usual. Qiyuwu looks kinda... dumb? The protagonist is too short. >< Overall, the story is okay. I like the ending. Partially because it is real and the protagonist dies~ :D Call me sadist or whatever but then the movie really faces reality. ^^

Rating: 3.5/5 Not a bad watch.

Am now currently waiting to watch Obsessed as well as my the book, The Time Traveller's Wife :D

random stuff :D

Yo people. Sorry I haven been posting for a while. Have been having a lot of projects streaming in endlessly.
--
1 April was April Fool's Day, as well as Kaleidoscope 2010 for Dunman High School. We had lots of fun, except maybe for the starting ceremony when the hot blazing sun was aiming straight at us. Boo D: We had a fan as a souvenir. It really came in handy. Afterwards, we went to attend a 'course' for figurine making.
I made the little chinese/korean doll below wearing a chi costume/kimono. I have no idea because she looks like she belongs to both. Maybe a hybrid...?
I also went to play a game for 50 cents. I got the prize and it was a yoyo balloon. Well, even though it is not really worth it, it is still worth the experience. Though I got it on the first try so it wasn't much of an experience. >< It was still fun to bounce the balloon along as I walk :)
--
When I went to my grandma's house on Saturday, I took some random pictures in the taxi. Seemed quite nice. I guess. :D
--
Yesterday, we celebrated my grandma's birthday. It was really fun! We ate chap chey, curry with chicken, noodles, fishballs, hotdogs with tomatoes, prawns with capsicans and soup. It was all very delicious! We had dessert and finally, the birthday cake! It was half-frozen durian which tasted like ice-cream!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA! ^^

kong hwa!

Today was still okay okay.
I am very very very happy with my Hist SEQ marks 8D
Hehe. Got full marks. YAY. I was damn scared that I would fail. Hahas. But cannot get too confident and complacent. Must work hard for the next one too!!!!!!

Today, instead of Kong Hwa, we went to Meridian. For a primary school, it is quite cool and nice. It is very big. I think bigger than Compassvale Pri Sch. :) Got a buddy. Truthfully speaking, my buddy is not that smart. But must guide her along!!! x) But I still miss my Kong Hwa buddies. I want Kong Hwaaaaaaaaa~!

Anyway, our class seems to be in the "Fusion mood". Haha. Everyone is like, 'wanna join fusion?'. Including me :D I currently asking some ppl.... Trying hard to persuade someone to join me.... Nicole g is joining me ;D Getting a girl would be nice so that choosing songs wont be so difficult. :)

Now TRYING to do the History article on the founding of Singapore. GAH. Anyway, trying out a new game these days, called "Hotel City" on FB. Seems okay except the fact that I have to keep cleaning the rooms becuz of infestation.....

Anyway, I bought 2 books! Actually it was my mother who bought them for me hehe. >< They are "Cleo" and "Letters from an unknown chinese mother". I have finished reading Cleo. It was nice. Will do a book review about it someday....

Tomorrow gonna do CME... :(

~hoping it will come true

Sports meet

Sports meet was kinda boring at the starting.
Krystal and I were teasing Nic w about Miss Chan's exaggerated voice and pronounciations.
She kept emphasising on EVERY word. Especially the last one. Like, "All athletes, please proceed to the tent near the ending point NOW. IMMEDIATELY."
italics: emphasised
cap: emphasised ALOT
Haha, Nic w was like grumbling all the way. Krys and her also complained about the poor selection of songs and the fact that Lady Gaga songs were being played.
After about 1h30min, it started raining. Miss Chan made us annoyed again by asking us to cheer the rain away. GAH. When it started raining AGAIN, around 1h later, she asked everyone to cheer the rain away, again.
During the second rain, there was actually a race going on. There was one part when a DHS athlete overtook a Chung Cheng athlete. We were cheering madly! Afterwards, I realised that that person was YUPING. I did not even know that she was participating lor!!!!!!
There was one part that was frustrating. B girls ran for the 4x400m relay. One of the girls accidentally dropped the baton. But they still struggled on and came in first. However, because of the fact that they dropped the baton, they were disqualified and thus, came in 4th in the end. I was furious! They showed the Olympian spirit and kept on running. WHY SHOULD THEY BE DISQUALIFIED? Even though I know that that is the rule, I still cannot help but feel angry.

After the sports meet, yuping, vivianne, grace, maranda and I went to KFC at Compass Point to eat. Kinda like a gathering. :) Actually wanted to have it with Chung Cheng ppl but they went already. D:

EARTH hour

Science presentation: Turned out quite okay. In fact, better than what I expected :) Heehee.

Today, Suting, Nic w, Valen, Bryan and I participated in some Earth Hour program.
They orginally stated clearly in BLACK AND WHITE that it was a CLUEDO game.
Turns out that it was an AMAZING race with little cluedo stuff in it. LOL.

Anyway, we were at the LT2 and then realised that the girl from 2B who was supposed to join us ended up joining her own class, we decided to call Valen since he wanted to come actually. So we called him and then he joined. Suting, Nic w and I were in group K1 and Valen and Bryan were in group K2 as we were supposed to bond with the year 1s. So we mixed with the year 1K. Our juniors! :)

The 'briefing' and dividing of groups took like 1h 30mins. We were there practically wasting time as they tried to set up AV stuff. There was a video "Save the environment" which they showed us which was crappy. Like seriously. But really funny. Suting and I were singing all the way to annoy Nic. Hahas. So when we started, we were supposed to find out who killed Mother Earth. ._. Something like cluedo, except that it was more of physical than mental usage.

The first station was damn funny. We were like supposed to have something like Taboo. So after we figure out the word, we will tell them to Suting and a yr1 and they would get some letters from a box and try to make the words out. I lent the facil in charge there my watch. Then, we did the guessing really quickly. And we were like, "Can we help them?" "No! They are already cheating! See I let them cheat until like that already!" (Suting was taking all the letters up and flipping them over. She was supposed to take a handful, take what she need, put them back, then take again.) "But then we wanna help!" "Cannot!" Then I said, "Whatever," and started helping. HAHAHAH. The facil was like what whatever! later I deduct ur hints! Everyone laughed. Then Suting proceeded to take the box to invert the whole thing so the letters would all come out. The facil shouted, "Noooo! Thats cheating!" and stopped us. D: then, we finally finished. The facil was asking the other facil, "How ah? They cheat lehs. A lot some more." >< then he took out my watch. I took it back and said, "Aiya, never mind lahs." "But you all cheated!" "This watch is already enough for one hint lehs!" HAHA. In the end, we still got all the hints :D

The rest of the stations were ok-ok. One station was quite interesting also. The Blindfolded Throwing Something. Nicole W got chosen to be blind folded in the end. Through FAIR circumstances. Haha. Suting was like "YAY!" I became her 'eyes' and was supposed to direct her. She would put up like cans, plastic bottles and papers and throw them into the respective boxes to recycle them. The starting was pretty good but I got kinda fed up in the end. Some incidents....
Nic threw the bottle to Suting. The plastic bottle hit Suting on her forehead before bouncing back into the box. OUCH.
I wanted to say left but said right. Then when I say turn left, Nicole turned too left and hit the whiteboard.
Nicole picked up a can. She could not see the facil in front of her and wanted to throw. Lucky for the facil she got away! >)
I got really fed up and pointed to the ground and kept saying "here here here" to tell her where the stuff were. Nic was like, "Where's here?!" HAHAH. xD

Our facil was also very funny. I think he was from China so his Eng was not very good like in terms of pronounciation. But he was very funny. Haha. Especially the way he runs. He would purposely run from left to right and right to left. Kinda like roller blading. LOL. Dunno how he does it.

In the end, when we got back and finished, turns out that we have to collate answers with Valen's group, K2. And they have not come yet. They very slooooowwwww. Haha. While waiting, we traded info with 2L. Hehe. And played building blocks on Nic's phone. Suting was pestering me and caused blocks to fall down. Haha. And we waited impatiently for K2.

^The starting in LT2 where we wasted 1h 30min

^Hints and the list

^Light bulb made from plasticine. It was actually what we did for one of the stations.

^One game made use of these rings made of newspaper. At the end of the game, we made this Olympic thingy for fun. :P

^Suting cancelled suspects and stuff for the game.

^I was being totally random and took this. Notice the second and min are the same x)

^ Us!!!! :D Valen took this picture for us. He was laughing when he wanted to take the picture. dunno why. We posed for damn long and Valen was still laughing! Then when I saw him laughing until so funny, I started laughing too. I laughed until cheeks hurt. xD
After the picture was taken, I zoomed for Suting and showed her that in this pic, her eyes looked weird. She said, "Nooooo! Let's take again!" Nic and I protested, "Noooooo!" I did not want to pose again for a photographer like Valen who keeps laughing. x)

There is no school tomorrow!!!! YAY! But there is the sports meet gah. We have to go Bedok Stadium...
Haiz. A day full of SUNSHINE. GAH. will be sweating like mad....
Anyway......Ying Xuan, JIAYOUS! :D
[edited] Did not know that Ying Xuan did not participate. haha.

kong hwa

Yo people!

Went to Kong Hwa yesterday for Star Buddy program. It was VERY VERY NICE. AND AMAZING :D The kids there are SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE :) I cant imagine myself being that small once. We were teaching the primary fives. The students seemed a bit rowdy at first but after getting to know them, we realised that they were actually really just being KIDS. They were nice too. We played heart attack first for icebreakers. Yuan Wen was talking, got distracted and got hit. Haha. x)

Yuan Wen and I got 3 buddies. Sharing :P They were all boys: Wei Qi (i think), Qiong Wun, Yi Heng. They were reeeeeaaaaaalllllllllllyyyyy cute~! I was kinda 'attached' to Qiong Wun I guess. I 'tutored' him for maths and left Yuan Wen to the other 2 boys. Sorry, Yuan Wen!!!! >< I dunno why but then Yuan Wen made a lot of mistakes while teaching maths. In the end, the students were right while she was wrong. HAHAHAH. She was like, "Oh! Really ah?" Hahas. While they were doing their math, I went around looking at other people's buddies. Then I realised that got English!!!!!

So, after the math, we went on to do Grammar with them. They were really quite cute when they dunno how to do. Qiong Wun was especially hardworking, surprisingly. He seemed so slack at first when I saw him but after teaching him (he called me 'teacher'! xD), I realised that he was the MOST hardworking amongst all 3 of them I think. WOW.

Too bad we are only going for one more time, next week.... I WILL MISS THEM!!!!!! boohoo~ :( Should have signed up for more if I had known. Haizzzzzzzzz.

Gah. Today was compre timed practice and tomorrows the summary. LA has been pretty bad lately. Marks have been going down, down, down, down, down~ downnnnnn downnnnn, baby are you down down down down down. hehe. Tomorrow gonna present Science thingy. Hopefully it goes well. Partnering with NicG and Xuhua. ;D

docent

Today was THE BIG DAY for the trainee docents. We would finally get to put our training to the test and guide visitors around the museum.

The first group of visitors consisted of Amanda, Rachel and a little girl, the sister of someone from 2L. Even though we tried our best to seem lively, I guess we kinda failed at it cause they did seem a bit bored. Must be museum fatigue. xD Rachel did tell us some feedback that we were doing great as we tried to have a conversation with them. :D This is the first group so we should keep our spirits up! :)

The second group was a group of tourists. They were from overseas I think and one of them was I think, married to a Eurasian woman. We guided them and 2 of them seemed spontaneous. The woman, though, seemed kinda bored and started looking around.

The third group was a girl who was the twin of someone in 2L and her younger sister. They seemed kinda interested and that made us happy! :D There was also a docent with them, observing us too I think.

The fourth group consisted of Xuhua, Alvin and a teacher from DHS. They were actually quite erm, observative. Surprisingly. Though Xuhua did say a few unneccessary things. Nearing the end, Nicole came and told us to end quickly as the next group is going to come soon. So, I cut short the part about music.

The fifth and last group, was a group of Malays, possible brothers. They were actually told to watch the movie first as we were actually rushing. They were the most pro-active among all of our tourists. When i held out a picture of P.Ramlee, I thought that the eldest of them all would answer, but in the end, it was actually the youngest one who shouted immediately, "P.Ramlee!" Haha. It is kinda cool actually when you know that they are so interested. :) Grace later also told me that when she talked about the actress who commited suicide, one of them went, "Eh! Why?" And as she continued talking, he went, "Haizzz. Commit suicide....." Haha. So I think that among all of them, they were actually the best group that we received :D

Overall, this experience was a very cool one :D I mean, the self-satisfaction that you get from it is something that cannot be bought and after that 1+ hour of standing, you will feel that it is actually worth it! We had a great time too! If I have a chance, I would do it again! ;)

~being a docent rocks

Alice in wonderland

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Went to eat buffet actually at Sakae Sushi with my cousins before deciding to watch Alice in Wonderland.
Ate sushi until very full.... yummy....!

Storyline: Alice comes back to the 'dream' that she had after 13 years. She is now grown up and was actually in the midst of being proposed to when she ran away, chasing after a white rabbit in a vest with a ticking clock. She fell into a hole and viola! She is in 'Wonderland' where the Red Queen rules ruthlessly. The hatter and many others have been awaiting her return to save them and kill the deadly dragon. She is confused and does not believe that any of these are real. To her, this is just another nightmare or dream. She struggles with her inner self to bring out who she really is and what she really wants.

Verdict: I love the colourful images and wonderful sound effects! The makeup and everything are perfect! However, the story does seem a bit slow in the beginning until when Alice meets the Hatter. The voices of everyone are perfect as well. Anne Hathaway's voice is very good as it is normally soft and gentle, except for the part when she sounds serious and deadly as she warns Alice about choosing her choices. The only, perhaps, loop-hole is that I do not know what is the moral or meaning of the show. Is it finding oneself? Or is it nothing is impossible? Or is it looks can be deceiving? Hmmm....

Rating: 4/5
Even though I do not really get the moral of the story, it is still a good watch for both kids and adults and at least, there is a storyline. :)

In....ter....net....work...ing....slow...ly

My internet is working soooooooo slowly. Gahs.
later gonna go eat sakae sushi buffet with my cousins. :) gonna pass them free tickets to the show, "Being Human" directed by Jack Neo.
Currently, feeling terribly sleepy, dunno why. OHHHHHH. I think I know why now.... Just now I ate medicine for the flu. GAH. Big mistake. Now i feel like dozing off straight away. Never mind, later then sleep in my aunt's car. Haha. Weird.
Woke up at 9 today. Did chinese hmwk!!! Printed out the pictures, all thats left is to collate and cut and paste them onto coloured paper. :) Left one more chi newspaper review..... Planning to finish it on Friday, along with Nat Geo worksheet. Then, on sat or sun, will plan to do the dreadful maths. :(

Had museum guiding prog yesterday. Still desperately trying to find a visitor to visit the museum. Why is it that everyone seems busy tomorrow?! Haiz. Yesterday was fun. :D After the guiding prog, the bunch of us went to Pastamania to eat. The pasta that I ordered was Basil Chicken Aglio. Very nice. Though should be spicier. x)
After that, went to macs with Grace, Krystal and Nic w. We ordered fries first while trying to think of problems as well as getting the laptop started. In the end, we finished the questions, but the laptop hasn't started yet. Haha. We were like begging the laptop to start faster. In the end, we were like, what did we bring the laptop for??? Haha.
Then went back home while Grace and Nicole w. went to do Geog with Suting.....

Hope that i can find a visitor to goooooooooooo. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
sleepy...... zzz

Gasp! The horror!

Gasp!!!! The horror!!!! Well.... Basically I am gasping at the horror of the hmwk we have even during this long-awaited short one week holiday. Why do they have to take away our last chance of FREEDOM? Gahs. So yeah. The stuff that I have to do/go out for on the following days:
Monday - Meet up at the museum to chiong the script... Hopefully will be able to finish!
Tuesday - Museum guiding program
Wednesday - Most prob gonna do/chiong FPS
Thursday - Museum guiding program
Friday - Gotta do homework which includes chi (the horror)

GAH. So many stuffs. Luckily I did abit of my chi already. To those who haven even started, JIAYOUS AND GOOD LUCK! Haha. Dun mean to sound sacarstic or anything. >.<  Still have a little bit flu and cough. Hate the cough. Damn it.

Yesterday went to eat dinner at a place at my grandma house there. One of the dishes was a pig TROTTER. So yeah. Can roughly imagine the expressions on our faces bahs. I mean, its like one BIG HUGE FAT PIG TROTTER in front of us. And we gotta eat it. But we did eat it in the end. xD HAD to. LOLs. Anyway, Happy birthday to the two cousins! :)

Currently still debating over the timing to meet up for FPS and days. Days are like virtually(reality-ly) filled up.
And FPS is like SO HARD AND DIFFICULT. You gotta rack your brains out just for one problem. But then we have to think of SIXTEEN problems. Just to one scene. Gahs. Why in the world do we need so many problems? Get it??? xP Haiz......

Anyway, there have been many ongoing controversies over the "Jack Neo Cheated" episode.
That is JACK NEO. To the people who dunno him, just in case. I mean, we have seen his movies and stuff and they were mostly revolving around one big issue and topic: FAMILY.  So, WHY IN THE WORLD HAS THE GUY WHO DIRECTED SO MANY HEARTFELT, TEARS-RENDERING MOVIES CHEATING? *gasps* I did not know about it until I saw the video of his conference where his wife fainted on the news. I did not really think that he was this kind of guy. And what's more, there had recently been many cases of such "He cheated on his wife" cases going on. I can name a few here: Tiger Woods, John Terry and such. Is this the latest trend???

You work hard, marry, have kids, happy ending. That's what everybody wants. So why are there so many people digging their own grave? In addition, he is FAMOUS. Once you are famous, people will want you to become INFAMOUS. Like, seriously. He has been in this business for many years. Why did he still do it? He has kids, shouldn't he think about them for a minute before he went on to do whatever-stuff-that-is-being-published now? I pity his wife, really. The wife has to take care of the kids and the house and MAINTAIN it even though it is collapsing right now.

As for the other girls who come out to say that they have been 'connected' to Jack Neo even though he disagreed, I really hope that they will think about the family that they are breaking up here. Don't you even feel guilty? You are breaking up a family! And, if those accusations that you make are not true, then you are really.... (no words can express). Trying to gain fame by making use of the situation, eh?

Anyway, I hope that Jack Neo learns his lessons and stop doing such things. Repent and treat your wife better in the future. And to all those other tempted husbands, or even wives, out there, DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Half day

This post is regarding Thursday, 11 March 2010, yesterday.

Yesterday was HALF DAY! Last period was PE so we were damn happy sia~! Most of them went to play basketball. Gen and I went to borrom volleyball from Ms Lee. Then, Krystal, Grace, Gen, Weirong and I played volleyball. After a while, Pamela came. Was really sunny and hot. But we had great fun!!!!! :D

Afterwards, almost the whole class started playing volleyball. Valen, Xuhua and Mingyu kept serving damn far. Spoil our game... :( Then, most of the class went back to volleyball again. After playing enough, we decided to go Benedict's house. Went to White Sands then with Ming yu, Yohanes, Gerald, Bryan, Krystal, Grace, Nic g, Benedict, Felix. :) Ate macdonalds while listening to lame jokes though we still laughed.

Then, we shopped around for Pamela's gift to store the stars. Finally saw something like a divider to put stuff in. Looked really nice. :) Finally, we set off for Benedict'd house. Ming yu and Gerald left then. Walked to his house and got a minor side-stitch then cuz ate macs. ._. When we arrived, we obviously started looking and walking around his house. Saw the paintings that Benedict's mother drew I think. Damn nice. Really cool. I think can sell lors. :D

Then started playing cards while listening to Yohanes play piano, again. haha. Then halfway through, we started playing stress. And Benedict, who claimed to be the King of Stress came 'challenging' people to see if he has 'lost his touch'. Haha. He was damn fast lahs. I managed to stress him if not I think he would have won. :P

Went back home afterwards. Damn tired.
Had a sore throat and today, I got flu and cough.... GAH.

Anyway, received news that I got into Chinese Society, amazing. I thought that the audition did not go well lors.... Dunno lors. Gonna try and find out when will I start....

And my tests are not that bad. Currently. I very scared of the maths. :(

Yuan wen's hse

This is a post regarding Tuesday, 9 March 2010.

On that day, there was supposed to be Kong Hwa star buddy programme. Then, Yohanes, Nicole G, Gen, Ming Yu, Yuan Wen and I were waiting at the foyer. We waited and waited. Then decided to check out if there was really a star buddy prog. We called and called but could not contact Ms Tan. Was damn pissed lahs. I mean, she should have told us first!

Then in the end, due to some weird unexpected ideas, we decided to go Yuan Wen's house. Travelled there and walked and walked in the endless maze of detached houses. Finally, we reached her house. The house was damn nice lahs. Got like 3 storeys!!!!! Saw her cat, Shadows too. Was a bit scared that it would scratch me though.

And of course, Yohanes started playing the piano. Nic, Gen, Ming yu and I started playing cards. Tried teaching them bridge but failed. Fought over Ming yu's phone. I scored like 3 secs for the pulling toilet paper roll!!!! Yes.....! xD

Then we went to the computers and started 'doing' our SIP.... but kinda digressed and moved on to Sims 3 in the end. Played with the characters and made them fat, skinny, fat, skinny.......Finally, we decided to go back... Walked with mingyu, gen, nic. Yohanes claimed that he knew a short cut or sumthing and went on by himself.... In the end, we kinda got lost... Then we asked a women and a boy where should we head to to go to the MRT. They pointed in DIFFERENT directions. Was funny. In the end, we found out where the MRT was... Tired. x)

Then, erm. nothing really special happened today, except that there was a sci test. There was a Chinese test yest and tomorrow, there is a LA test. boohoo....
The LA poetry analysis is damn hard lahs..... Argh.....
And tomorrow, I have an audition for the Chinese Society....
I hate auditions..... :(

song

This song is DAMN nice!!!!! It's sung by Timberland and Katy Perry. Katy Perry rox!!! :D Saw it on MTV channel at first. The song is nice, the MV is nice too!!!!!! So here it is. :)

Oh, yesterday, as there was museum guiding, we went to the museum, obviously. I got to see the Egypt exhibition!!! Btw, do you students know that it is actually FREE for ALL STUDENTS in Singapore to view the exhibition!!!! So cool!!! We went to see the exhibition and saw a MUMMY!!! So cool! Though I wished that there were more mummies! X)

K, anyway, I was supposed to talk about my day. Today, I tried volleyball for the FIRST time during PE! By the way, my first PE lesson for this year was on yesterday. XD So yeah.... coming back.... Volleyball is FUN! I paired up with Joelle are we made a mistake in taking the ball. We took the hard one so after a few hits, my arms were red. But not swollen. XP My receiving is.... quite messy in the beginning but after that, it became kinda okay. I guess. The problem was that I could not manage to hit it straight at the person I want. My spiking was in a sense 'powerless' in the beginning. But after that, it became better. :D

Then, we were split into groups of 3. But since there were 25 people, our grp had 4 people: Ying Xuan, Genevieve, Joelle and me. I was kinda bad at aiming and hit Joelleon the face in one of the rounds! SO SORRY, Joelle!!!! I hope it does not leave a mark or anything.... >< After that, the teacher asked us to line up in 2 lines so that he can spike to us for us to receive. He spiked to me two times and I did not get it to him TWO times. :( It kept going left. Haiz, must control next time!!!! Gah. I hate the 2 rounds during every PE lesson. So exhausting. My legs and arms are aching from running and volleyball....

During Geog, it was okay... Not much happening.... except interesting videos that are COOL. Do you know, that to make a cup of latte, you need 500 litres of water, which is 50 gallons of water? WOW. This includes planting your coffee, making the pastic lids and stuff. JUST TO MAKE A CUP OF LATTE. So the message was: Change the way you think. THAT certainly did change the way I thought! Climate change and many more are happening everyday. The carbon footprints that we leave behind that invisible, but the effects are real and happening. Thinking that the world could end in 2012 might be possible, considering the rate of destruction the Earth is going through. We should never think that our efforts are too little. Imagine 100 people conserving the Earth, do you know how much impact that would have? Too effort is too small. Start recycling for a change. It would not only save the home that you live in, Earth, but also make you feel good about yourself. :D

As for Chinese lesson, I was told to read one of my answers to a question which I got a 2 star next to it. >< Well, I felt happy for the fact that I got 2 star, but I did not exactly felt like standing up to read. But then again, I got 5 points for my group! ;)

Malay lesson was damn competitive! We had something like competitions... And everyone was scrambling to stand up. And there was one funny part when everyone struggled with the answers and no one could answer. Then Suting quickily stood up to answer. She say "21", which I think was the calculation to Mr Iskandar's question??? We were like laughing. Then, she stood up again and said, "erm.... (something something)" which she accidentally said wrongly. Mr Iskandar deducted the points despite their protests. Then she stood up AGAIN to anwer. And, when Mr Iskandar asked to her for the answer, she said, "I have no idea." Everyone burst out laughing and Pamela was like shouting at Suting, "Nooo!!! Why you again?!" Haha. It was THREE times in a row!!!! And their group had been deducted 15*3=45 points. Haha XD Malay lesson has never felt so funny!!! Btw, we won in the end!!! :)

i found my calling

I finally found my calling. I know that some of you might not like or support the decision that I am making. But this is what I WANT.

When I thought about going to softball, my stomach suddenly churned. You know that kind of feeling when you dont want what is gonna happen to happen? Well, I kinda cried a little too. I then hesitated. Should I still just continue with softball or quit.

I started to think about what everyone would think. The consequences. All the trouble and paperwork. Then I paused and asked myself, "What do I want?" I had just seen this movie on TV called 'The Women'. And they had this wife who did not know if she should leave the husband who was having an affair. Then someone asked her, "What do you want?" And it hit her, just like it hit me.

I want to quit softball.
And I am gonna leave it at that.

movie

PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTNING THIEF
I went to watch this movie on the last day of the CNY holidays.
Before that, we had went to Seoul Garden.
By the time we finished our food, we had smelled really really bad.
Thus, we went into the movie theater sheepishly, hoping that no one could smell us.
Story Percy Jackson is the son of a god and a human. One day, demons and gods started looking for him, believing that he is the thief that stole Zeus' lightning bolt. Percy struggles to prove his innocence and save his mother who was killed while they were escaping from a Kindly One(something like a monster).
Verdict Well, this movie is definitely BETTER than Harry Potter in the sense that it is not slow in the opening. After all, I am not a very huge fan of Harry Potter as well. The 'final' battle between the real lightning thief and him could have been longer though. And they focused too much on the seeking of the 3 pearls. They should have elaborated on Merdusa too. However, the visual effects were great. As expected.
Rating 3.75/5 A great movie! Almost a 4 too! :D

VALENTINE'S DAY
This was an impromptu outing.
After the CNY celebration at Dunman High, Suting and Gen suddenly popped the question if I wanted to watch Valentine's Day.
OF COURSE.
We(Suting, Gen, Joelle, Vivianne, me) rushed all the way from school to Plaza Sing.
And obviously, we made it IN TIME. :)
Story It was Valentine's Day. There would obviously be some heartbreaks and happy endings. Well, it was a typical storyline. Akin to 'Love Actually' actually. The love stories of a few people and how do they connect AND fall in love.
Verdict Lots of humorous parts. They could use it. The storyline was not exactly very surprising in a good way. It was cliche and we could kinda figure out what was going to happen. Pretty and handsome actors and actresses though. :P Some parts were actually totally redundant in a sense, like when Taylor Swift and Taylor Lauter were acting.
Rating 3/5 A nice humorous movie to watch, but not exactly that great.

funny

Damn sleep now...
But I wanna blog.
How ironic.

Anyway, today was the SPECIAL music lesson. The first music lesson in this year, that has been very interesting. Cuz some instructor came in to teach us about Malay music. He joked around first and then introduced us to the tompang (i think the spelling is liddat). It is something like a mini drum. :D Then, Valen and the others kept making funny comments until I cant help but laugh along.
Then suddenly, I think that someone dunno what was the meaning of a term.
Then Shinmin or Valen said, "Go google lah."
Then they continued, "Go google google google." (Get it?)
Alvin suddenly came along, "Go google." (turns back)
Heres the funny part. Alvin turned around again and continued from where he left off, " dot com."
HAHAHA. I was like laughing damn hard lahs. The longer you think about it, the funnier it seems. It is really one of those be-there-to-understand moments. In the end, I laughed so hard until I cried. And when I told Nicole that in CHINESE, the instructor kinda heard it and said, "Huh? You laugh until cry?" LOLs!

Another funny incident. We took bus 158 with Felix and Zhenyang. Nicole and I found out Felix lived in a terrace house. O.o WOW!!! XP Was in the bus going back home when 2 boys suddenly came and sit behind me and Nicole. Then the 2 boys started disturbing us. Like hell. Haha. They kicked our chair and said, "Knock, knock. Whos there?" I kinda felt like telling them that they were supposed to say "Knock knock" and we were the ones who were supposed to ask "Whos there". -.- Haha. Diaozzz.
Then, we waved goodbye to one of them who gt off at a later stop than us.
Nicole was like so crazy over the boy and kept calling him cute. LOL.
Then Nicole suddenly got this weird idea and started texting Gen about the guy. She started off as making it sound like she made this guy on the bus and the way she put it was like she LIKED the guy. Haha. And Gen kinda fell for it!!!!!! XD Until Gen asked how old was the guy. :( Too bad. If not we could have 'deceived' Gen longer. Although we did not lie to her! We had merely missed out some facts (on purpose). heehee. ><

Haiz. Got Science practical tomorrow. Dunno what they would be testing. Gram's stain most prob. thats like the only practical that can be finished in a day. -.-
Anyway, I had actually forgotten to bring the history GRADED assignment on Monday. And we would be deducted 20%!!!! I kinda pleaded with Ms Ling and she agreed not to penalize me!!! :D Yay. Thank, Ms Ling!!!!! :) So happy~

dunno

Haiz. So yeah. About the CCA. I guess I am gonna stick with Softball.
Cuz, the other time when I went for the Choir CCA, they say that the quota has already exceeded. Then, I asked the EDS, they also quota full. So haiz. Well...
Actually, softball is not all that bad. Well, at least my friends are there and I already know them.

THE ONLY PROBLEM:
THROWING

That is the archilles' heel of my softball!!!!! Gah!!! But I dun mind not making it to the team. .__. But I definitely MUST MUST go watch them play!!!! Woohoo! Will cheer for them! Must win! Must win! ;D
This is so gonna rock when I see them play. It's the first game so yeah. Good experience. (: JYJY!!!

Anyway, for CNY Deco, the progress is SLOW~ But Suting, YingXuan and I did a piece of work today that we are VERY VERY VERY proud of~! Kellyxians will be able to see it today but the other classes might only see it like 11 Feb? It is SO cool and nice lor! According to me that is. 8D
And kellyxians, please try to stay back for as MANY days as you can!!!!! :D

And tomorrow, we will present the chinese presentation. Damn. I tell you ah. Our group is totally not focused one. Haiz.... .___. And I hope that Bryan did his draft for the speech...! He had better! And he better talk faster when he is presenting the thingy! I am also damn nervous about speaking SO MUCH in CHINESE. Cuz the only prob is speaking in chinese actually. Hahas. LOL

^^The above pictures were taken when I went to watch Avatar with my cousin. Cool specs, huh?

^Some liquid which we used when we were learning how to transfer liquids using the micropipette.

^We had to grow BACTERIA. We could see the bacteria avoiding the antiseptics and stuffs which were the paper discs. heehee. Though it is not clear here. eww~

<< >>I went to Tampines One with my parents to buy new year clothings. We went to drink and rest after a while. Here were some or our coffees and their pretty designs. (:

laughs

Today's ACC lesson was quite fun. And funny. >.<

So yeah. We decided to pull a trick on Benedict.
When he went to toilet, we actually put a book under his seat's cushion. (cuz we were in some special room with special seats and aircon obviously.)
We then changed it to pens. Then felt it was not hard enough.
Then we added a stapler. XD
Benedict came ane sat down, WITHOUT suspecting anything.
We heard the stapler sound as it was pressed.
Haha. It was like he was stapling the chair!!! XP
We were like trying hard not to laugh and stifled our laughter.
We did not want to anger the teacher after all.

The second incident was when Nicole was throwing notes to Krystal.
So, the previous 'flights' have all been successful.
Except for one.
The teacher just happened to turn around then and saw the paper aeroplane "swoosh" pass him.
He was like damn angry.
For a few minutes only.
Then he started to seem calm.
Weird.
Guess he took anger management classes. :P

Then, after school, Grace went home with me.
We decided to take 158B and maybe take 100.
So yeah. We took 100.
Then we started getting hooked up over a simple game of Sonic at the Olympics which was at Grace's handphone.
Then, we realised we missed our stop.
Thinking there was another MRT stop, we pressed again.
And then, the bus just went "rolling" past the 100 bus stop.
We were like laughing at how silly we were.
And how such a simple game can cause us to miss the stop. -.-

~laughs and more laughs

happy birthday, mum!

Happy birthday, mum!!!
You are one year older (not a very good thing for you XD) now!
May all your wishes come true! :)

We had a manga cake. It was REALLY delicious!!! :D
The cake was damn soft and I wanna eat more. The five of us finished it in like 20 mins???
Heehee.
I want an ice-cream one for MY birthday. >.<

chinese

So yeah. There were some china students who came to Dunman High today. We were supposed to introduce them to some Singapore's tourists spots. 2J did that. 2K was supposed to let them eat some local food. In the end, 2J helped provide some food too. Haha. When the Chinese came to eat the food, our saliva were almost drooling. The food!!!! XD Finally, after some time, we got to eat some of the local food. :)

(while everyone is eating)
BoNing: "不要看这个炒粿条很难看, 它其实很好吃! "
Everyone laughed.

(while taking photo)
BoNing: "所有的华人请到前面站!"
Yohanes: "我们也是华人啊!"
Haha. XD

Afterwards, we had some 'buddies' and we guided them to our classrooms. In class, our class comm members struggled to think of some games for the Chinese to play. Soon after, we had a sing along session. Joelle danced 'Nobody'. BoNing did some Indian dances. LOLs.

After school, while coming back from the toilet, I bumped into Coach. ._. He asked me some questions and asked me if I really wanted to quit and stuff. You know, it was making me kinda guilty. So yeah. I hate one-to-one conversations. Too silent. Too painful. Too everything. Argh. I hate one-to-one. Regarding his question, I kinda wanna quit actually... I mean, the mental toil and making me irritated. The thoughts that rush to my mind when I cannot throw properly and such. I cant stand it anymore. But if I do quit, I would hope to maintain the relationship that I have with my teammates. :)

eager

I am eager to go back to school. This is the first time it has ever happened. :D Well... I guess it is kinda expected. No one wants to miss the first few weeks of school. Haiz. Internet seems to have problem. Sian.

I am currently watching Hwang Jin Yi on youtube. Really nice show. Talks about the tiny little details that we miss sometimes. And the different meanings for the same thing. Different interpretations. Yeah. Really nice show. :) Though I really hate the part when they keep talking about Eunho. I was really glad that he finally died! XD

Grace gave me some worksheets yesterday. Thanks a lot, Grace!!!!! :D She explained some stuff to me. I finished most of the worksheets. Except for Geog (some parts) and Maths. I have missed one quiz!!! Argh. I dun really like the idea of staying back for a quiz. Gah. ._.

These days, eating has been a chore. For the first few days, I could eat nothing except porrigde and mashed potato. HELL. Especially since I loved eating food. Food with flavour, that is. So yeah. Then, I started to eat noodles which have been a little overcooked. I started to eat meat and yeah. My mum is gonna buy me chicken popcorn later!!!!!! Paradise!!!! And shes gonna cook curry yong tau foo and black pepper chicken. YAHOO~! Obviously they would not be THAT hot or sumthing. It would still be more diluted than the original. XP

Argh.
I wanna eat some high class restaurant food.
SOON.

hit

So yeah, there was a terrible thing that happened just yesterday.
There was supposed to be softball trial for year ones and I was actually comtemplating if I should go. Looks like I shouldn't have.
Anyway, during the trial, JW was swinging the bat.
I did not see the bat and it hit my face.
At first, I did not know that I was being hit.
I thought that someone had pushed me accidentally.
There was no pain.
But I could feel myself being blur for a moment.
I wavered and struggled to stand still.
Then, I knew something was wrong.
Blood was spilling all over.
It was warm and it was all over my hands.
I heard a faint 'sorry' from JW.
I did not really know how did I get hurt then.
Only when I heard someone say that I got hit then did I know.
I was stunned and could not do anything.
One of the teachers brought me to the toilet.
I did not know how serious it was.
All I knew was that there was a lot of blood.
They cleaned up my wound and pasted the bandage on my face.
All the time, the teacher keep telling me how brave I was.
I then proceeded to wait outside.
Then, I heard from Amanda and the others that JW locked herself up in the toilet.
So typical of her.
The others tried to persuade her to come out.
Amanda asked if I blamed her.
The obvious answer was no.
It was an accident.
No one wanted it to happen, much less JW.
The teachers called my parents and informed them.
I waited.
When the plan was finalised and I was to go KK hospital, JW finally came out.
She had been crying and was still crying.
She said sorry.
I tried to smile at her but I think I failed terribly because of the injury.
I obviously could not like hug her like in the movies.
This is reality.
Anyway, I did not blame her.
I won't forgive her because there is nothing to forgive.
She did not do anything wrong. It was not intentional.
At the hospital, the plastic surgeon did some stitches on my face and in my mouth.
Damn. Thats gonna leave a scar.
But then, whatever.
As long as I am still alive and living huh?
Can't wait to go back to school for the first time. :)
And JW, dont take it too hard.

pizza

There was CCA presentation for the new year ones today! So there was no lessons. Yay :D
In the morning, I missed my 80 bus. So, I waited for a while before the next one came and then, I missed the train that I was supposed to take every morning. :(

Then, when I reached Serangoon, I saw bus 100! I ran and missed it cuz of one lady who was in front of me and stopped me! >_< Argh! Then, I waited for like 10 mins before the next one came. Went to Aljunied bus stop and then after like 10 mins or 15 mins, 158A came.

Reached school and it started drizzling a bit. I waited at the parade ground thinking that the assembly would be there. Then, I started doubting if the weather was favourable. After seeing people leaving, I started to leave too. Then, the PA system announced that the flag raising ceremony would be held at the classrooms. Thus, I rushed back. Then, I was late for the singing of national anthem along with some other students. And I sang the national anthem and said the pledge at the corridor. LOLs.

When I went to class, the new form teacher was there. So bad first impression!!!! >.<''' Haiz. And I did not bring my thermometer. It was like double impact! :( But Ms Kheng seemed quite nice and did not really mind it. heehee. XD

Then, we had to choose our class comm. There were a few nominees. Like 14. I am among them. I did not manage to hear who voted for me. LOLs. Anyways, thanks to the person! I voted for Grace. :) I think that she is really responsible, just that she is a bit shy. So perhaps this would give her more confidence. :D

Then, I went downstairs to like wait for softball training to start. We played the table soccer while waiting. Haha. Damn funny when we were like screaming when some of them shoot wrongly. Haha. xD

Softball training started. We did more throwing and did 30 mins PT. And then there was this moment when we thought that the sky looked really pretty and we started taking pictures of it. Haha. And coach tried to help them take. LOLs.

After training, we heard that we could not leave school until 1.45pm. Gah!!!! >:( So anyway, we had to waste time around. We hanged out at the Indoor Sports Hall for a while. Vernetta was looking at guys. Haha. :P And then, there were this few volleyballs that came hard at us. Jingwen was like blocking everyone. And we compared her to Edward. Haha. Jingwen was like pissed. LOL. Not THAT pissed though.

And then, we passed the last 1 hour playing Tapz 2 on Weiting's iphone. I sucked at it lors. Must improve next time! Haha. Finally, at 1.45pm, we headed to Tampines Mall to eat at Pizzahut. Travelled there by bus and MRT.

At Pizzahut, Vernetta was like in charge of ordering. Haha. The way she order was like ah beng or big boss liddat. heehee xP Jingwen and I shared a student set. We also ordered 2 more pizzas and 8 spicy chicken drumlets to share. Talked about lots of stuff. And we mixed the chilli powder and cheese into the tomato soup. Haha. Actually, it was really nice. :) Try that next time, u guys!

Then, after eating, we finally headed home on our separate ways. :)
I should really learn my chengyu later... :'(

Orientation

Hey guys! As you know, our school has this SPECIAL tradition. That is, every year will have orientation, unlike the usual 'only-year-1-has-orientation'. :) So, we have an orientation too this year. Ours is only 2 days :( but it is better than nothing. ^^

Day 1, 4 Jan '10
Day 1 was actually not much stuff because there was only this workshop about self-esteem and self development. The workshop was quite okay but I don't think that it was engaging enough. However, the coaches tried really hard to engage us and I think that that was worth commending.
After all that workshop thingy, we had a briefing on the "DHS X'plore" tomorrow. It was going to be something like an amazing race. When the facilitators asked us to cheer, I must say that the 5 or 4 facilitators are louder than the whole of Sec 2(I just typed Sec 1, hehe). Well, we don't really have the excitement.
Afterwards, we had training at 4. It started one hour later than usual because of the orientation. We did a little throwing and fun-go(spell correctly?). We did not do any batting that day. The coach was kinda angry at us becuz although we were going for the ball, we did not dare to bend low enough as we were scared of the ball. Haha. So, we would be doing some practices that would FORCE us to bend, according to coach.

Day 2, 5 Jan '10
Today, we would be having "DHS X'plore". I was in group 2. We had 11 members. Our facilitator (facil) was called Daniel. We were in the auditorium for the final briefing. Then, one of the facil played a recording of the instructions that told us our next destination. The recordings had different speed. It could be super fast or super slow. We were kinda pissed when we could not get the correct instructions. And, when we finally get to hear the 'normal' voice and speed, the group 1 people started screaming when they heard their instructions, causing us to not know what we were supposed to do. So, we waited and waited until we could finally get the right instructions. Argh.
We then proceeded to the hall. We were supposed to make paper aeroplanes and make it land at the black box 3 times while throwing it from the stage. Sounds easy? Not at all. The stage was quite far from the black boxed-shape pasted onto the ground. Finally, we managed to complete it and went on to solve another clue. The answer was Sungei Geylang, which was Geylang River.
We walked to Geylang River and did our next task. It was to take a piece of round chocolate with chopsticks using your left hand and walk about 3 metres to your partner and put the chocolate in his mouth without the chopsticks and chocolate touching his lips. LOL. We finished that and then, went to figure out the clue. The clue was a puzzle and we did not fix it in the end but we knew where it was. XD
We headed to Suntec City. The clue showed the Fountain Of Wealth. We went there and had to play a game. A friend will go some distance away, like 4 metres, and sit. The facil will ask a question about your friend. You will have to write your answer on a plastic sheet. And your friend will too. Then, we will see how well you know your friend. We have to have at least 10 correct answers b4 proceeding. We cheated using communication and hand signs, hehe. Then, the facil eventually stopped us from cheating further.
The next destination was Merlion Park. We had 5 tasks to choose from. We had to complete 2. We chose to take 3 photos with tourists and their local currency. We also chose to do the 'Visa Dance' with the tourists. Haha. 2 tourists were also generous enough to give us two polish coins even though we refused at first.
Next was the flyer. We walked REALLY long to get to the flyer from Merlion Park. *_* We had to stand on a mat which was like 1.5 metres by 0.8 metres. Then, we had to flip the mat over while we were still on it! Haha. It was quite hard at first but we eventually got it. It was actually quite easy. :)
Then, the last destination was Marina Square. We went there but Ms Ling said that there were too many people so it would be better if we went for our 30 min break first. So, we walked around, struggling to decide where to eat. We finally went to Yoshinoya. I ate the student set meal, terriyaki chicken. Then, we went to complete our task. Leelaoshi was there saying that we were very late. Haha. The task was to use the rolled up newspaper to make something like a long tube that would allow the ping pong ball to pass through. We had to make it all the way down like, 40 steps, with a few big long steps in between. We had to try like, 3 times before getting it right. Then, for the bonus round, we did it in just one try! ^.^
Finally, we headed back to school. ;) And the others tried to run to overtake some groups. Heehee. XP An fun day it was!!!
But really tiring!!! >.<

school

Truthfully speaking, I am not in the least enthusiastic about school reopening or what so ever. The idea of sitting in class all day, listening to the teacher drone on, having piles of homework... Well, it does not seem very appealing to me. AT ALL.

Haiz. My parents are out now, at a wedding dinner of my father's cousin. My brother, grandma and I are at home. At 7, my brother and I proceeded to watch Spiderman 3 that was showing on Channel 5. However, at 8, when I started to get restless, I realised something. That in 2 hours, I would be going to sleep. And I would dream a dream that seemed to take only 15 min and wake up the next moment due to the alarm clock. And I would be off to school.

I started having a weird feeling at the pit of my stomach that does not feel good. Knowing for a fact that I would be going to and fro school the very next day was not a very good thing. That is why I absolutely LOVE and HATE holidays. Holidays seem great but in fact, it is just a mask. A mask that is hiding the withdrawal symptoms of holidays.

It would not seem so bad if my school is just 15 min away from home, like my pri sch. But then, the fact that my school is 1 hour away from home is not good at all. Imagining the dozing off on the bus or returning home when the sky is dark. OR (the worst) when the earliest that you can reach home is 3.

... ...

I have nothing else to say.
After all, we can't stop time.
So, we just have to let it be.

Sherlock Holmes

SHERLOCK HOLMES

With my family, I watched Sherlock Holmes at the Iluma at Bugis on 2 January 2009.
A great way to start the year :)

Storyline: Sherlock Holmes goes around solving cases with his partner, Watson. This time, they stumble upon an interesting case whereby Blackwood is trying to make use of black magic to conquer a country. Or is he???

Verdict: Interesting story. Lots of action. Terrific music. Great captures by the camera. :) However, I may say that Jude Law acts much more better than Robert Downey Jr. Him being a partner does not stop him from stealing the spotlight. Luckily, the show explained how did those weird incidents happen, or else, the rating that I am about to give would be much more lower. This 2 hour long movie is more appealing than it seems. Though you may have to read the subtitles at times when you can't catch what they are saying.

Rating: 4/5
A nice movie with lots of exciting action!
