laughs

Today's ACC lesson was quite fun. And funny. >.<

So yeah. We decided to pull a trick on Benedict.
When he went to toilet, we actually put a book under his seat's cushion. (cuz we were in some special room with special seats and aircon obviously.)
We then changed it to pens. Then felt it was not hard enough.
Then we added a stapler. XD
Benedict came ane sat down, WITHOUT suspecting anything.
We heard the stapler sound as it was pressed.
Haha. It was like he was stapling the chair!!! XP
We were like trying hard not to laugh and stifled our laughter.
We did not want to anger the teacher after all.

The second incident was when Nicole was throwing notes to Krystal.
So, the previous 'flights' have all been successful.
Except for one.
The teacher just happened to turn around then and saw the paper aeroplane "swoosh" pass him.
He was like damn angry.
For a few minutes only.
Then he started to seem calm.
Weird.
Guess he took anger management classes. :P

Then, after school, Grace went home with me.
We decided to take 158B and maybe take 100.
So yeah. We took 100.
Then we started getting hooked up over a simple game of Sonic at the Olympics which was at Grace's handphone.
Then, we realised we missed our stop.
Thinking there was another MRT stop, we pressed again.
And then, the bus just went "rolling" past the 100 bus stop.
We were like laughing at how silly we were.
And how such a simple game can cause us to miss the stop. -.-

chinese

So yeah. There were some china students who came to Dunman High today. We were supposed to introduce them to some Singapore's tourists spots. 2J did that. 2K was supposed to let them eat some local food. In the end, 2J helped provide some food too. Haha. When the Chinese came to eat the food, our saliva were almost drooling. The food!!!! XD Finally, after some time, we got to eat some of the local food. :)

(while everyone is eating)
BoNing: "不要看这个炒粿条很难看, 它其实很好吃! "
Everyone laughed.

(while taking photo)
BoNing: "所有的华人请到前面站!"
Yohanes: "我们也是华人啊!"
Haha. XD

Afterwards, we had some 'buddies' and we guided them to our classrooms. In class, our class comm members struggled to think of some games for the Chinese to play. Soon after, we had a sing along session. Joelle danced 'Nobody'. BoNing did some Indian dances. LOLs.

After school, while coming back from the toilet, I bumped into Coach. ._. He asked me some questions and asked me if I really wanted to quit and stuff. You know, it was making me kinda guilty. So yeah. I hate one-to-one conversations. Too silent. Too painful. Too everything. Argh. I hate one-to-one. Regarding his question, I kinda wanna quit actually... I mean, the mental toil and making me irritated. The thoughts that rush to my mind when I cannot throw properly and such. I cant stand it anymore. But if I do quit, I would hope to maintain the relationship that I have with my teammates. :)

eager

I am eager to go back to school. This is the first time it has ever happened. :D Well... I guess it is kinda expected. No one wants to miss the first few weeks of school. Haiz. Internet seems to have problem. Sian.

I am currently watching Hwang Jin Yi on youtube. Really nice show. Talks about the tiny little details that we miss sometimes. And the different meanings for the same thing. Different interpretations. Yeah. Really nice show. :) Though I really hate the part when they keep talking about Eunho. I was really glad that he finally died! XD

Grace gave me some worksheets yesterday. Thanks a lot, Grace!!!!! :D She explained some stuff to me. I finished most of the worksheets. Except for Geog (some parts) and Maths. I have missed one quiz!!! Argh. I dun really like the idea of staying back for a quiz. Gah. ._.

These days, eating has been a chore. For the first few days, I could eat nothing except porrigde and mashed potato. HELL. Especially since I loved eating food. Food with flavour, that is. So yeah. Then, I started to eat noodles which have been a little overcooked. I started to eat meat and yeah. My mum is gonna buy me chicken popcorn later!!!!!! Paradise!!!! And shes gonna cook curry yong tau foo and black pepper chicken. YAHOO~! Obviously they would not be THAT hot or sumthing. It would still be more diluted than the original. XP

Argh.
I wanna eat some high class restaurant food.
SOON.

hit

So yeah, there was a terrible thing that happened just yesterday.
There was supposed to be softball trial for year ones and I was actually comtemplating if I should go. Looks like I shouldn't have.
Anyway, during the trial, JW was swinging the bat.
I did not see the bat and it hit my face.
At first, I did not know that I was being hit.
I thought that someone had pushed me accidentally.
There was no pain.
But I could feel myself being blur for a moment.
I wavered and struggled to stand still.
Then, I knew something was wrong.
Blood was spilling all over.
It was warm and it was all over my hands.
I heard a faint 'sorry' from JW.
I did not really know how did I get hurt then.
Only when I heard someone say that I got hit then did I know.
I was stunned and could not do anything.
One of the teachers brought me to the toilet.
I did not know how serious it was.
All I knew was that there was a lot of blood.
They cleaned up my wound and pasted the bandage on my face.
All the time, the teacher keep telling me how brave I was.
I then proceeded to wait outside.
Then, I heard from Amanda and the others that JW locked herself up in the toilet.
So typical of her.
The others tried to persuade her to come out.
Amanda asked if I blamed her.
The obvious answer was no.
It was an accident.
No one wanted it to happen, much less JW.
The teachers called my parents and informed them.
I waited.
When the plan was finalised and I was to go KK hospital, JW finally came out.
She had been crying and was still crying.
She said sorry.
I tried to smile at her but I think I failed terribly because of the injury.
I obviously could not like hug her like in the movies.
This is reality.
Anyway, I did not blame her.
I won't forgive her because there is nothing to forgive.
She did not do anything wrong. It was not intentional.
At the hospital, the plastic surgeon did some stitches on my face and in my mouth.
Damn. Thats gonna leave a scar.
But then, whatever.
As long as I am still alive and living huh?
Can't wait to go back to school for the first time. :)
And JW, dont take it too hard.

pizza

There was CCA presentation for the new year ones today! So there was no lessons. Yay :D
In the morning, I missed my 80 bus. So, I waited for a while before the next one came and then, I missed the train that I was supposed to take every morning. :(

Then, when I reached Serangoon, I saw bus 100! I ran and missed it cuz of one lady who was in front of me and stopped me! >_< Argh! Then, I waited for like 10 mins before the next one came. Went to Aljunied bus stop and then after like 10 mins or 15 mins, 158A came.

Reached school and it started drizzling a bit. I waited at the parade ground thinking that the assembly would be there. Then, I started doubting if the weather was favourable. After seeing people leaving, I started to leave too. Then, the PA system announced that the flag raising ceremony would be held at the classrooms. Thus, I rushed back. Then, I was late for the singing of national anthem along with some other students. And I sang the national anthem and said the pledge at the corridor. LOLs.

When I went to class, the new form teacher was there. So bad first impression!!!! >.<''' Haiz. And I did not bring my thermometer. It was like double impact! :( But Ms Kheng seemed quite nice and did not really mind it. heehee. XD

Then, we had to choose our class comm. There were a few nominees. Like 14. I am among them. I did not manage to hear who voted for me. LOLs. Anyways, thanks to the person! I voted for Grace. :) I think that she is really responsible, just that she is a bit shy. So perhaps this would give her more confidence. :D

Then, I went downstairs to like wait for softball training to start. We played the table soccer while waiting. Haha. Damn funny when we were like screaming when some of them shoot wrongly. Haha. xD

Softball training started. We did more throwing and did 30 mins PT. And then there was this moment when we thought that the sky looked really pretty and we started taking pictures of it. Haha. And coach tried to help them take. LOLs.

After training, we heard that we could not leave school until 1.45pm. Gah!!!! >:( So anyway, we had to waste time around. We hanged out at the Indoor Sports Hall for a while. Vernetta was looking at guys. Haha. :P And then, there were this few volleyballs that came hard at us. Jingwen was like blocking everyone. And we compared her to Edward. Haha. Jingwen was like pissed. LOL. Not THAT pissed though.

And then, we passed the last 1 hour playing Tapz 2 on Weiting's iphone. I sucked at it lors. Must improve next time! Haha. Finally, at 1.45pm, we headed to Tampines Mall to eat at Pizzahut. Travelled there by bus and MRT.

At Pizzahut, Vernetta was like in charge of ordering. Haha. The way she order was like ah beng or big boss liddat. heehee xP Jingwen and I shared a student set. We also ordered 2 more pizzas and 8 spicy chicken drumlets to share. Talked about lots of stuff. And we mixed the chilli powder and cheese into the tomato soup. Haha. Actually, it was really nice. :) Try that next time, u guys!

Then, after eating, we finally headed home on our separate ways. :)
I should really learn my chengyu later... :'(

Orientation

Hey guys! As you know, our school has this SPECIAL tradition. That is, every year will have orientation, unlike the usual 'only-year-1-has-orientation'. :) So, we have an orientation too this year. Ours is only 2 days :( but it is better than nothing. ^^

Day 1, 4 Jan '10
Day 1 was actually not much stuff because there was only this workshop about self-esteem and self development. The workshop was quite okay but I don't think that it was engaging enough. However, the coaches tried really hard to engage us and I think that that was worth commending.
After all that workshop thingy, we had a briefing on the "DHS X'plore" tomorrow. It was going to be something like an amazing race. When the facilitators asked us to cheer, I must say that the 5 or 4 facilitators are louder than the whole of Sec 2(I just typed Sec 1, hehe). Well, we don't really have the excitement.
Afterwards, we had training at 4. It started one hour later than usual because of the orientation. We did a little throwing and fun-go(spell correctly?). We did not do any batting that day. The coach was kinda angry at us becuz although we were going for the ball, we did not dare to bend low enough as we were scared of the ball. Haha. So, we would be doing some practices that would FORCE us to bend, according to coach.

Day 2, 5 Jan '10
Today, we would be having "DHS X'plore". I was in group 2. We had 11 members. Our facilitator (facil) was called Daniel. We were in the auditorium for the final briefing. Then, one of the facil played a recording of the instructions that told us our next destination. The recordings had different speed. It could be super fast or super slow. We were kinda pissed when we could not get the correct instructions. And, when we finally get to hear the 'normal' voice and speed, the group 1 people started screaming when they heard their instructions, causing us to not know what we were supposed to do. So, we waited and waited until we could finally get the right instructions. Argh.
We then proceeded to the hall. We were supposed to make paper aeroplanes and make it land at the black box 3 times while throwing it from the stage. Sounds easy? Not at all. The stage was quite far from the black boxed-shape pasted onto the ground. Finally, we managed to complete it and went on to solve another clue. The answer was Sungei Geylang, which was Geylang River.
We walked to Geylang River and did our next task. It was to take a piece of round chocolate with chopsticks using your left hand and walk about 3 metres to your partner and put the chocolate in his mouth without the chopsticks and chocolate touching his lips. LOL. We finished that and then, went to figure out the clue. The clue was a puzzle and we did not fix it in the end but we knew where it was. XD
We headed to Suntec City. The clue showed the Fountain Of Wealth. We went there and had to play a game. A friend will go some distance away, like 4 metres, and sit. The facil will ask a question about your friend. You will have to write your answer on a plastic sheet. And your friend will too. Then, we will see how well you know your friend. We have to have at least 10 correct answers b4 proceeding. We cheated using communication and hand signs, hehe. Then, the facil eventually stopped us from cheating further.
The next destination was Merlion Park. We had 5 tasks to choose from. We had to complete 2. We chose to take 3 photos with tourists and their local currency. We also chose to do the 'Visa Dance' with the tourists. Haha. 2 tourists were also generous enough to give us two polish coins even though we refused at first.
Next was the flyer. We walked REALLY long to get to the flyer from Merlion Park. *_* We had to stand on a mat which was like 1.5 metres by 0.8 metres. Then, we had to flip the mat over while we were still on it! Haha. It was quite hard at first but we eventually got it. It was actually quite easy. :)
Then, the last destination was Marina Square. We went there but Ms Ling said that there were too many people so it would be better if we went for our 30 min break first. So, we walked around, struggling to decide where to eat. We finally went to Yoshinoya. I ate the student set meal, terriyaki chicken. Then, we went to complete our task. Leelaoshi was there saying that we were very late. Haha. The task was to use the rolled up newspaper to make something like a long tube that would allow the ping pong ball to pass through. We had to make it all the way down like, 40 steps, with a few big long steps in between. We had to try like, 3 times before getting it right. Then, for the bonus round, we did it in just one try! ^.^
Finally, we headed back to school. ;) And the others tried to run to overtake some groups. Heehee. XP An fun day it was!!!
But really tiring!!! >.<

school

Truthfully speaking, I am not in the least enthusiastic about school reopening or what so ever. The idea of sitting in class all day, listening to the teacher drone on, having piles of homework... Well, it does not seem very appealing to me. AT ALL.

Haiz. My parents are out now, at a wedding dinner of my father's cousin. My brother, grandma and I are at home. At 7, my brother and I proceeded to watch Spiderman 3 that was showing on Channel 5. However, at 8, when I started to get restless, I realised something. That in 2 hours, I would be going to sleep. And I would dream a dream that seemed to take only 15 min and wake up the next moment due to the alarm clock. And I would be off to school.

I started having a weird feeling at the pit of my stomach that does not feel good. Knowing for a fact that I would be going to and fro school the very next day was not a very good thing. That is why I absolutely LOVE and HATE holidays. Holidays seem great but in fact, it is just a mask. A mask that is hiding the withdrawal symptoms of holidays.

It would not seem so bad if my school is just 15 min away from home, like my pri sch. But then, the fact that my school is 1 hour away from home is not good at all. Imagining the dozing off on the bus or returning home when the sky is dark. OR (the worst) when the earliest that you can reach home is 3.

... ...

I have nothing else to say.
After all, we can't stop time.
So, we just have to let it be.

Sherlock Holmes

SHERLOCK HOLMES

With my family, I watched Sherlock Holmes at the Iluma at Bugis on 2 January 2009.
A great way to start the year :)

Storyline: Sherlock Holmes goes around solving cases with his partner, Watson. This time, they stumble upon an interesting case whereby Blackwood is trying to make use of black magic to conquer a country. Or is he???

Verdict: Interesting story. Lots of action. Terrific music. Great captures by the camera. :) However, I may say that Jude Law acts much more better than Robert Downey Jr. Him being a partner does not stop him from stealing the spotlight. Luckily, the show explained how did those weird incidents happen, or else, the rating that I am about to give would be much more lower. This 2 hour long movie is more appealing than it seems. Though you may have to read the subtitles at times when you can't catch what they are saying.

Rating: 4/5
A nice movie with lots of exciting action!
