...

Nuthing to do today... So staying at home.

Was supposed to go to the library today to renew my book's due date. I am taking awfully long to finish my chi book! >.< But then, while chatting with Nicole G., she told me that the due week was 3 weeks not 2 weeks. LOL.

So in the end I ate some noodles which I cooked. With ketchup sauce!!!! yummy~ ;D And some chicken which I toasted. :) Not bad for a 15 or 10 mins to cook meal! XD

Haiz, am gonna continue to read the chi book later on. Sian...

2009 psle

Hey guys! Yesterday, I went to my grandma's house and visited her. Lots of good food! Yummy!!! XD Anyway, I went to buy a magazine, "Hot" at Compass Point. Did not know there was this magazine there in the first place. So, there are all sorts of hot news and stuff about celebrities, mainly Hollywood. XP Less of the hongkong stars etc. Hongkong stars are mostly for I-zhou-kan. :)

So, this years top PSLE is 290 marks out of 300. Sian, it was 3 marks higher than my year. Haha. Anw, Jingwen's sister did not manage to beat her I think. LOL. Everyone keeps comparing marks here and there. It is also kinda pressurizing lehs. And, TG(from taiwan) who lives at Iris' block got 230. Not bad lehs. Actually, these kids from overseas only need to grasp English, then they can score already. Cuz I heard from Yidan (From softball, China) that she came to Singapore just to learn English only. In fact, China the Science and Maths system is much more tougher! WOW!

So, yeah. And yesterday's newspaper report wrote an article about the Australian show that says that Singapore's parents are one of the strictest parents in the WORLD. Click here - World's Strictest Parents, Aug 19 to view the video. I cant see the video for some reason so yeah. Anw, the children say that this is like one of the strictest routine they have ever had. I was reading the 'rules' and realised that they are actually NORMAL. For Singapore, that is. Those are the reaaalllllyyyyy normal rules! Here are they:
  • No smoking
  • No alcohol
  • No sleepovers
  • No boyfriends or girlfriends
  • No swearing
  • Must spend every Sunday as a family
  • Studies come first
  • No skipping school
  • Internet must be used in loungeroom so parents can see what sites they’re logging onto.
They are like real simple and straight-forward. They are the kind of rules I expect. K, maybe some are overly-harsh. Like, the internet being in the loungeroom. And the boyfriends and girlfriends, and the sleepover part. But, things like skipping school, smoking, alcohol and stuff, these are kinda expected right??? LOL. So yeah. Singapore is NOT that strict. But then, we ARE kind of conservative. After all, we are made of Chinese, Malays, Indians. These are the races which have their own tradition and bringing up their kids properly is one of them. Definitely. While the Americans might be... a tad too adventurous. They leave their kids uncontrolled. While too much control is not good, too little control is also not good.

Also, I was watching Rush Hour 3 on TV when I started outlining a model in the newspaper. I decided to scan it since it looks quite nice XD

P.S. Anyone wanna watch 'New Moon' with me???

blocked

Finally!!!! It's FINALLY blocked week!!!!!!!!!!!! XD Yahoo~! K, right, actually, it is not exactly blocked week now. But then, after this week, it would be! So, I am just celebrating early. XP Sianz. Today's training started out quite fine. Until the end.

We started with some throwing first. I threw with Jingwen. Here, I am gonna say 'Sorry!!!' to everyone who had to run about just to catch the balls that I threw. Really sorry!!!! >.<''' K, so after that, we did some fielding. I cannot throw one base, so the coach PURPOSELY asked me to stand at first base to throw home. -.- Then, he switched me to be the catcher. LOL. Seriously, there is no problem with my batting, catching, fielding. EXCEPT for my throwing. Gah!!!!!!

Then, we sat and rested while the coach gave some talk to Vernetta and Jalyn. I think that it was cuz they asked whether it was time to go back home already or something. But then the coach was quite angry today cuz of our reflections/observations. He gave us a 40 min long talk in the morning when the C Div training started. WOW!

Then, we did some swift stick batting. (I actually thought it was called 'sweet stick' XD) The waffer (correct spelling?) balls were flying everywhere. kk, abit exagerrated. LOL. Anw, then, we had to pack the stuff after warm-up. It was kinda tiring cuz we only had 7 ppl. Vernetta and Jalyn went already. Haiz. We did not have the key so we left the stuff outside the storeroom.

By the time we were done packing, we were DAMN tired sia. Jingwen kept cursing cuz the equipment was damn heavy. We changed and stuff. I collected my books and was prepared to go when the coach suddenly call us back, saying that the storeroom was opened and that we can go put the equipment back inside. Wah sey. Damn angry liaos. We went back AGAIN, kept the stuff. Jingwen was there cursing all the way. Haha. Then, the coach say, "How can you all leave the equipment outside there?" He said that Mr Wee and him had went to take the key so how can we like leave the stuff there. I was there thinking, "We did not even KNOW that they were taking the key. And, if the key cannot find, what you want us do? Stand outside the whole day and guard is it?!" Damn angry. Jing wen was like gonna break down liaos. Haiz. :(

After that, I went to compass point with Amanda and ate KFC with her. I was having a hard time eating the chicken. -.- And it was quite hot and spicy. >.< Then, we went to take the bus and bus 86 came already bt Amanda didn't allow me to go. x( LOL. Then, we took bus 80 together in the end. I got down before her of course.

~Damn tired

Sigh. The days pass so fast. Looking forward to the trip to Taiwan. :P And I have to type out the damn reflection.

200th

Yay!!!!!!!!!!
Guess what?
This is the...

200th POST!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!! K, it might not be THAT much for ppl who post like, everyday. But then, this is like a huge achievement for me :) AND, my posts are usually damn long so it seems more like an accomplishment to me. :D

Haha. Just ate lunch which was hor fun. It was cooked by my grandma. Pro right? She should like go open an eatery or something. XP Her food are always delicious one lor! That is if her 'feeling' is there. She told me once that if she does not have the mood, then she will anyhow cook. But if she feels good, her food will always have like something special. Now I totally agree on "Put love into the food"~! ;D

Anyway, my Restaurant City is like being caught up by Iris. We are like competing with each other and seeing who overtakes who. Haha. Anyway, it is getting kinda boring liaos. Cuz all that we have to do is just let it run and earn money. Haiz. I wanna overtake Weirong too. Last time he was dunno how many levels below me then he suddenly accelerate and overtake me!!!!! Gah!!!! Haha. Jiayous to me! XD

rain

Hi guys! I actually wanted to blog about something but I cannot due to some reasons... So, for an avid blogger like me who wants to blog about every interesting thing, it is quite infuriating for me! Gah!!!! Why cant I blog about it?!!!!! Haiz, anyway, I skipped softball today cuz I still have flu(due to the frequent rains) and a slight cough. And whats more, it has been raining EVERYDAY. So, I guess the girls at softball training must be doing PT now unless it rains in sengkang but not in tanjong rhu.

Yesterday, I watched Project Runway and America's Next Top Model. Both reality TV shows are mostly about fashion and stuff. Project Runway was really interesting and I saw this one girl who made a dress out of only one cloth and it gt the top among all the designers. It was really nice and it fitted the theme well. :) I think last week, or last last week, she also gt top. So, it was really quite amazing. :P

As for Project Runway, there was this girl who was actually like American (or English) that kind of girl bt she looked kinda like those Chinese with really big eyes. I thought that she looked kinda weird lors. And the models are not exactly THAT beautiful cuz they are beautiful only when they have makeup and stuff. But they are not natural beautiful. I think that the host(?), a 'retired' model, looked better cuz her skin and everything are like damn natural and she looks really pretty. :)

Ah! Yes, I found a comic, "Wild Ones". Storyline interesting although when you read it on mangafox, there are like 10(?) missing chapters. LOL. But you can still get the story cuz it revolves around a like main line. Yesterday, I watched the first episode of Temptation Of Wife/Cruel Temptation on Channel U, 7pm. The first episode was kinda boring so I felt that they should just skip it all the way to the part where the guy betrays the wife. LOLs. Haiz, so boring. I am currently gonna finish my maths hmwk. Bt I am still like dilly-dallying. Oh, and I gotta ask my dad go buy Chinese newspaper for my newspaper article thingy. Haiz... And I have to finish a Chinese book consisting of 225 pages. :( HELP~!

cookies

Hey guys!!!! Sorry for not posting for quite long! Anyway, I went to Ikea, Giant and of course, Courts, on Saturday. My father did not come so it was only my mother, bro and me. We went to Giants' foodcourt and ate while waiting for my auntie. Soon after, my cousin, Iris, auntie and my grandma came. :)

We then went to buy some stuff for our Taiwan trip. So excited! I am going to Taiwan and it is my FIRST time there! Those advertisements about" Welcome 2 Taiwan!" really worked! XD Anyway, we bought some sweaters. I gt a green one at first but then realised that it did not match my purple jacket, so I gt a pink one eventually. I also gt a pair of new jeans!!!! :D Iris tried one of my choices which I liked bt then it did not fit her cuz her back was too small. Haha. So we went around trying to find a fitting that was good for her. Finally, we found one! :D

Then, we went to Courts. We walked around, looking at laptops that were below $1000. Haha. And my bro went around playing with the games there on the laptops. Then, we ate at Subway. :) Was quite nice. I ate terriyaki chicken sandwich. :D

Then, we proceeded to Ikea against my wishes. I did not want to go cuz I wanted to bake cookies at Iris' house. Iris and I were like walking through Ikea aimlessly. I want quite frustrated cuz we merely came to Ikea cuz "Ikea, Courts and Giant came together." So, if you go one, you must go all. LOL!!!!! In the end, Iris and I walked all the way to the exit quickly and bought hotdog bread while waiting for the others.

Finally, we went to Iris' house. We baked chocolate cookies. :D Was damn fun sia!!!!! And we watched 爱 while rushing to the kitchen to take cookies and to replenish the supplies. Haha. We were also complaining about Yixin in the movie. We were also like asking Zhenchang to hurry up die cuz he was dragging the whole movie down. Haha.

Afterwards, we went to a hawker centre somewhere at Bedok and ate. It was like 10 then. We ate BBQ stingray, kangkong, porridge, sotong, mussel and chicken wing. Soooo nice! :P Then, we went home quite reluctantly.

^Cookies that we baked!

^Oh yeah! I forgot to tell u about this incident. We went to the Ikea cafe and there was this Friends machine which allowed u to get free food if you put in your friends card. We put my auntie's expired card in to give it a try and what came out was this. Haha!

^Christmas deco

^Courts' megasale!

draw

K, I haven't been posting my drawings for quite some time. K, quite LONG. But, finally, I did. There is supposed to be one more page but then I haven't really completed it. It is all the hairstyles that I can think of. -.-
Lately, I have been drawing the shape of the person's head before drawing the hair and eyes. Then, I trace the hair and eyes, thus erasing the shape of the head. It helps cuz the heads seem more proportionate. :D I am having problems drawing legs though -.-

^Some kind of clothes to wear to work???

^Obviously a maid, that looks kinda fat.

running out

I AM OFFICIALLY RUNNING OUT OF COMICS!!!

It is a TRAGEDY!!!!

K, I am over-reacting. But then, I have depended on comics to enrich my life, entertain myself, delude myself away from the horrible reality... etc. Haha, I am DEFINITELY over-reacting. Haiz. There does not seem to be any good comics lately. One that would get me going for a week. One that would not let me be bored just after one day. -.-

I have read quite a few comics... lets see what I can recall...
  1. Vampire Knight - Publishing is slow now, so I do not really go check on it.
  2. Skip Beat! - Have finished reading current ones, waiting for new chapters.
  3. The One - Finished until around chap 60? Getting bored to death so have given up on it.
  4. Shugo Chara - Read finished current chapters. Waiting for new ones.
  5. He's Dedicated to Roses - Drawings too computerish and the story is draggy. I can also predict what is gonna happen. Nuthing interesting or new.
  6. Boarding House of Hunks - Drawing also too computerish. Story also draggy. Practically same case as "He's Dedicated to Roses".
  7. AKIRA - Really nice plot. Currently waiting for new chapters. (only found at onemanga.com)
  8. Fly High! - Getting draggy. Waiting for new chapters.
  9. D. Grayman - Story is too 'cut-up'. Not much connection between one chapter and the other. Rather watch anime of it.
  10. Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu - Story too predictable. Stopped reading quite some time ago.
  11. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! - Nice story and plot. Love it. But publishing very slow.
  12. Faster Than A Kiss - Nice plot. But I don't really feel like clicking on the latest chapters to read. Cuz the plot always revolves around the 'teacher-student relationship problem' thingy.
  13. Chocolate Cosmos - Just read finish yesterday. Quite nice. The problems that arise are always kinda un-anticipated. So it is not the normal always happy ending.
  14. Himegimi no Aikon - Very long never update. Can roughly guess where it's going with just the first few chapters.
  15. Beauty Pop - Nice story and plot. Ending not so nice though.
  16. Penguin Revolution - Nice story and plot as well. Ends too quickly though. And I kinda pity a character inside. Hahas.
  17. The Day of Revolution - Really, really good concept. But the mangaka very lazy, I guess? Ends too quickly.
  18. AAA - Started and stopped almost immediately. Can guess the ending. Stopped cuz the drawings are not proportionate.
  19. Honey Hunt - Storyline is almost the same as "Skip Beat!". Not that interesting since its the same.
  20. 7th Period is a Secret - A rather short comic. Story is also kinda predictable.
  21. Devil and Her Love Song - Nice plot. But not captivating enough. Stopped when I finished the current chapters there.
  22. Ouran High School Host Club - Finished the current chapters there. Story is getting more and more draggy. Should focus on the girl being a guy fact instead of romance.
  23. Hadashi de Bara wo Fume - Nice starting. Then, I got kinda bored and lazy of it. The plot is nice though. :)
  24. Dengeki Daisy - Nice plot. Though abit how-to-say? Er.... It is not that common yet at the same time abit common. K, abit confusing liaos.
  25. Hana to Akuma - Story abit 'cut-off'. Drawing not proportionate.
  26. Absolute Boyfriend - Finished. Checked it up due to its Korean drama series remake.
  27. Kimi no Todoke - Finished until chapter 14 bahs. Predictable and nuthing is happening -.-
  28. Gakuen Alice - Nice plot until around Chapter 110 where the time-travelling takes place. Then the story gets boring.
  29. Koukou Debut - Predictable. Stopped when the girl confesses her love and the guys accepts. Can roughly guess what happens.
  30. Special A - Story is draggy. Drawings are nice at times and others, not.
K, I shall stop here and there are somemore. But, it IS kinda endless, eh? Haha. Anyway, today at Softball training, the gals got crazy, literally. We are called the Shingzer Family. (In memory of Ris Low) I am currently the great-grandson. -.- Haha. Vernetta is my mother. LOL. Singmei is my grandma and Yunning is my great-grandfather, I think. Jalyn is my sister. XD Jingwen is my great-great-grandfather??? Nicole is the dog and Clarrissa is the tree outside the house???!!!! Haha. LOLs. XP

Oh yeah! I haven't tell you guys the marks yet.
Wait, did I tell you? k, wait I go check. XP
K, checked. I told you guys the grade, but not the overall GPA.
My GPA is 3.4/4. Thats... 85%! Which is an A+!!!! Haha. :)
My aim next year would be 3.5 or above. :D
Wish me luck and I would wish you luck too!

this is it

THIS IS IT
Suting, Nicole W. and I went to watch Michael Jackson's This Is It on Tuesday. Well, it was quite a 'late' day that day. Everyone was late. Hahas. So, anyway, after we bought the tickets, we went to eat Yoshinoya. :)
We went to watch after eating. At first, all the advertisments were fuzzy. Suting and I thought that there were something wrong with our specs or that it was a 3D movie. XD Anyway, the movie was something like a documentary, showing the making of "This Is It". The songs were really cool and hearing it echo round the movie theater was an experience of a lifetime. It was not like watching a show. Shows can make you cry and everything but this doesn't. It was something different. When the show started, and the music was on, I got the kind of tinggling(dunno how to spell) sensation that I always get when I feel excited. I await for what happens next and your heart gets pumping fast. It was really exciting, something that you would not feel watching a normal movie. Soon, I find myself tapping to the fast musics. They even show them shooting a scene for Thriller. The makeup and everything was fantastic. The way they did it was really absolutely fabulous!
It is indeed a pity that we cannot see it for our own eyes when Michael Jackson wanted to go on a tour. You can see him working really hard during rehearsals. It was like the real thing.
Michael Jackson, your songs will still live on. :)

b'dae

Yo guys!!! I am racking my brains out these days just to think of a title for my posts. -.- Anyway, I had forgotten to talk about Mingyu's birthday party. So, yep, thats what I would be talking about.

Mingyu's b'dae
It started out when Nicole and I met at Compass Point to buy Mingyu his birthday present. :D Grace had some guides thingy going on so it was only Nic and I. We went to action city. Nuthing. So, went to popular obviously. We saw a book and were hesitating about whether we should buy that. Cuz we do not know if Mingyu has that book already. So, we went round and round. First, we saw a cute small plastic chair and wanted to buy a soft toy to go with it. So the soft toy can sit on the chair. But then, after considering that Mingyu is a guy and might not want that, we discarded that idea. We eventually found a stationary holder which can like turn so you can get things on the other side. Sooo coooll!!!!! I kinda want that too~

Then, we headed to Downtown east. It was drizzling and the wind was strong. I didn't tie up my hair so it was like all over my face. XD Just nice, bus 89 came and we boarded it. It was soo damn freaking cold! Nic and I were like struggling to contain our heat lest it dissipate into the surroundings. (I am kinda infactuated with the word, "dissipate" these days.) Nearing Downtown east, there was a junction and some kinda of traffic police was directing traffic. And it was like as if he got some kind of grudge against us. He kept letting other cars go, but not ours. Nic and I were furious and saying stuff like, "Does he even have a license?!" Haha. Then, when we FINALLY reached, Nicole said that Gen was at subway and she kinda needed help. Haha. When we got to subway, Ying Xuan came too so the four of us headed to Ming yu's chalet. It was pouring and we had to share umbrellas. While walking, Nicole and I were still joking though some rain splashed on us. (not very accurate)
Lightning flashes.
Nicole: "Later we get struck by lightning."
Me: "Haha. Don't worry. Wanna strike also strike those 2 behind."
Laughs.
Get it? The 'those 2 behind' were Gen and Ying xuan. Cuz they were tall so lightning usually strike tall objects. To Gen and yx: JKJK only ahs. Dont take it seriously. XP

Since it was raining, we could not BBQ. The four of us ate kinderjoy with Mingyu. The band grp then arrived. Mingyu's mother was so nice as to go and packet some sushi for us to eat. It was definitely stomach-saving. Heehee. And we watched la bi xiao xing so we were not really that focused on it. Nic was also playing around with some scary mask. She kept trying to scare ppl except that it always failed. Only Joelle and Boning got scared, hahaas. :D Then, Yuan wen, Nic and I went down and started standing on the seats which was near the BBQ pits. We chatted and argued about Band and Guides on which one was better as a CCA. In the end, Yuan got so confused she accidentally say Band not good. Haha. Then, all of us started to 'salvage' the fire which was going out. I put charcoal and stuff. It was kinda irritating as it was raining. That was like the worse BBQ I have ever went to. -.- But in the end, the fire got better (like after 1 h) and food finally got cooked.

We then sang Mingyu's birthday song and ate cake. :) By the way, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, MINGYU!!!

...

I do not know what to write for this post's title so u guys will have to settle for the 3 dots. Haha. XD Anyway, I shall talk about today. Hmm... I haven't done that for a looonnnnggggg time. :)

I had softball training today. Seriously, my throwing still sucks. I think my problem is in transferring my energy to the ball. Even though I use a lot of energy, somehow it kinds of dissipate into the surroundings and the ball ends up all loose and slow. So, I think thats my problem. But.... when I throw properly, I cant put my energy into the ball -.- Thats why I used something like side throw last time... Haiz. Anyway, forget about that.

Continuing, when I was on the bus 158 to school, I ran into Joey, Joelle's sis. I did not see her at first until she call my name. I was like thinking, "Gosh! She remembers me!" Well, it is kinda rare cuz ppl do not usually rmb their relatives' friends' names. XD Anyway, it was nice of her to remember me. :) I took her to the general office. Apparently, there was something like a gathering??? She did not tell me :( Haha, there were like parents gathered there so maybe something like a school exchange?

So, after softball training, I was SUPPOSED to help out for some CIP thingy. But then! Joelle told me that there were enough ppl there helping already so I need not come. I was kinda irritated seriously cuz I did not know that I needed to go yesterday to find out what to do at first. >:( Haiz. The misery of life~~~~ JKJK. Anyway, so I went to buy macs to collect the sticker thingy for monopoly!!!!!! Haha. XD

While on the way back on the bus, I saw a mother and her daughter. The situation is like this. The daughter is chattering non-stop on the bus. The daughter disturbs her mother and keeps saying, "I wanna go up! I wanna go up and sit." The mother gets angry and says harshly, "Shut up!"
My first thought was, "The poor girl! How can the mother scold the daughter like that?" Then, it hit me. I should not draw to conclusions too quickly like that. I should not sympathise immediately with the little girl just because she is innocent. Well, so what if the girl may not be in the wrong? But it DOES NOT mean that the mother is to blame. The mother is just irritated after a hard day. What's more, the daughter may have been complaining all the way from Orchard road to here. The mother could not stand it any longer and bursts out.
So, who is to be blamed? NONE. I just realised that people, namely Man, like to find fault with someone. They just NEED to. An example: The Mayans predict that the end of the world is gonna come in year 2012. People do not really believe this as there is no concrete proof. However, IF that day really comes, the people will start to blame the government for not taking precautions. Situations like this always happen. We just blame someone to make ourselves feel better. We feel better when we think that we are not the cause of such unfortunate events. However, there is the cause and effect theory. EVERYTHING is the cause of something. From the dinosaur age to now, everything affects everything. I may say something was caused by Jane. Jane will say it was caused by May who told her to go. May would say it was someone else who suggested it. In the end, the blame ends up with someone we do not even know.
K, now I feel weird. Cuz I am writing all this funny stuff about chim stuff that I find weird writing. -.-'''

Haiz. This is life indeed.

farewell

I shall be talking about Mr Sng's farewell ceromony. :) It happened on the 6th Nov 2009.

The start of the ceremony was obviously welcoming Mr Sng. He was wearing something like a backpack. Looks so funny!!!! XP Then all of Dunman High cheered damn loudly. Cameras were flashing and the mood was HIGH~ It was like Mr Sng was some kind of superstar! :D

They started with a video I think. It was made by the teachers. It was sooooo funny! Especially they way the teachers act and talk, even sing! There was one vid where the teachers show what characteristics Mr Sng have. So, to show the next one, the next teacher would push the previous teacher away. The way they did it was sooo funny!!!!!! XD I really have to admit that their 'acting' skills are not bad. :P

Afterwards, each year would present something like a presentation for Mr Sng. Naturally, the year 1s went first. I have to say, Boning's acting was good! And funny! Haha. Especially the part where he sang. At the starting, he went abit off-tune and the dunmanians laughed. I really pei fu him for even though the students laughed, he continued to sing bravely. Seriously, not everyone can sing in front of the whole crowd, much less the principal.
The rest of the years' performance are kinda mundane. But I know that they put a lot of effort into it. However, I feel that the year 1s performance was the most 'colourful' as it was funny and full of life. :D

Although, the students have to bear some pain as well. :( We sat on the ground for 3 hours+ and there was not really enough space. Grace and I have to take turns to like switch sitting positions. One of us would sit cross legged while the other would bend her knees like the usual crying position??? Haha. So it was quite excruciating. I think I am exaggerating with the word, "excruciating". Heehee. XD

Then, Mr Sng gave a speech. Even though he said that he was going to make it short, he dragged it in the end. -.- Hahas. He thanked us, students, as well as those who have helped him in one way or another. There was this incident mentioned when someone whose job was not to help him wash his coffee cup, helped him. I think that that person was really a good role model. He went out of his way to help Mr Sng and that deserves to be praised. :D

The finale was the best part I think! We sung "当你孤单你会想起谁". I absolutely love singing as a whole school. I think that one good point of Dunman High is when we have this mass singing session, everyone will sing. Even if they dun sing loudly, they will at least whisper. The very last part was when we have to sing the SCHOOL SONG. That time was the loudest I have ever heard DHS sing. I could not help but smile at hearing everyone sing. That moment was unforgettable. It was one of those times when you have a warm feeling enveloping your body, making you shiver :D

Lastly, I would like to give my thanks to Mr Sng. Even though I do not know him well, I would still like to express my appreciation for what he had done for Dunman High. He designed programmes that would enrich our learning experience and he spent money and time on building a new campus so as to create a conducive environment for us to study. All these are worth thanking for. :) It is also because of his part in governing the school that Dunman High can shine today. :D Thanks, Mr Sng.

~thanks for all the memories

clean up

We cleaned up East Coast Park's beach because of..... post-exams activities. I have mentioned those 3 words for the past 2 posts, didn't I? Haha.

So, Nicole, Krystal, Gen and I were officially stuck with the 3 muskerteers. LOL. So, the trash bag which we were supposed to use for collecting rubbish was left with them and they FORGOT to bring it down! Argh. We were damn angry sia. So in the end the WHOLE CLASS was slowed down. But..... there is a silver lining in every cloud. (correct?) We were just nice near the underground shelter when it started to rain. We were MUCH MORE fortunate than the other students who had to run all the way to ECP for shelter. So.... I guess that was a blessing in disguise???

We then went to pick rubbish. Nicole said she wanted to find something interesting. But in the end, all the interesting stuff were found by the guys. They found a damn huge pencil, a toy eye, a brick?!!! Haha. We found lots of cigarettes. Haiz. The beach was really quite dirty lors. Please, people!!!! SAVE THE EARTH!!!.... and us students who are cleaning up the beach. heehee.

^See the contrast? The beautiful sky and the awful-looking man-made stuff.

^The trees are sooooo beautiful.

^Nicole's holding the extra large pencil. XD

Movies

CORALINE
I went to watch this movie as it was part of the school's post-exam activities.
This girl, Coraline, finds herself in another world where everything is PERFECT, unlike her real world. She starts to like it a lot. However, the people in that world have button eyes. When the perfect mother tells her to sew on button eyes so that Coraline can stay in that world, Coraline refuses and gets frightened. It turns out that the perfect mother is not as perfect as she thinks. You may watch the show to find out what exactly happens.
I will give it a rating of 2.5/5.
Firstly, the 3D animation is abit too dizzy for me and the glasses are too heavy. Hahas. It would be best to watch it with contacts. Also, the starting of the show is not really that interesting. Like it is quite draggy. The behind part of the movie is more interesting. :)

ASTRO BOY
Iris and I went to watch Astro Boy yesterday at Century Square. :) You may read Iris' post too.
Anyway, this story is about a little boy called Toby who is the son of a famous professor, Dr Tenma. A guy running for an election comes to know about the blue and red core. The blue is positive energy while the red is negative energy. The guy puts a red core inside a robot and the robot ends up killing Toby. Dr Tenma is depressed over Toby's death and recreates a new robot which resembles Toby and it also has his memories. The robot is powered up by the blue core. However, Dr Tenma soon realises that the robot is not Toby. 'Toby' knows about it and rushes off to find his own place in the world. He meets friends. He thus names himself Astro. Meanwhile, the election guy takes the red core. He tracks down Astro and fights against him...
I give this movie 3/5.
The plot is quite interesting. :) The animations are cool and I am quite touched at some points. But, it was not exactly enough to keep me crying for a whole 2 minutes. Haha. XD
