Case of the Class Tee
Haiz, our class tee arrived yesterday. We were all excited. And, it appears that there was something VERY VERY wrong. There is no front part and the back design is damn ugly. They never help us do the graphics!!!! Argh, boning!!!!!!!! So wonder the class tee was so cheap!!!!! :( Trying to msn with boning but he is not replying... D:

IVP
Yesterday, I skipped softball as I went to Innovators' Programme. Yep, was kinda fun!!! :)

We took a bus to Nanyang Technological University??? (NTU) Bus ride was okok, i did not really do anything -.- Reached NTU and arrived at the auditorium. Nicole and Krystal were among the first to step in. Nicole suddenly laughed. I asked her what happened. She said that Grace had the same reaction as her (i think). The spiral staircase to our left looked EXACTLY like a DNA molecule. And we just had our science test. I figured out that my first question is wrong~~!!!! :(

Anyway, we went in and watched a presentation for like 2 hours.... The last part of the presentation was fun. It was when they introduced some of their inventions or solutions to daily problems. Was abit funny, some groups, haha. We were like saying some problems of their inventions. Actually, about the Dripfree product- it is like a paper wrapped around the ice-cream stick to prevent the ice-cream from dripping onto our hands, I feel that it is kinda useless. I mean, who would pay 30 cents just to ensure that their hands are ice-cream free. Besides, sometimes, getting ur hands dirty is the fun part about eating ice-cream! :D

Then, after the presentation, we went out to complete the some poster quiz. While walking, Kelvin Ng said hi. (actually, I saw him during the presentation already) Was nice to see some ex-Compassvalites at the IVP. :D Too bad Vivianne didn't come, heehee. XD We were given food and drinks. The sandwich was kinda nice. :P

Then, the bunch of girls (1K) who went to IVP sat down at the floor to play some games. Miss Qiw(correct spelling???) said that we were like very outstanding as we were like the only students sitting on top of the staircase. Haha. So, we went down to the carpet area to play. Finally, it was time to go back.

The bus ride back was quite silent. Suting showed me the list of ppl who are gonna play for the Inter-class. shh... need to keep it quiet... XD I slept during the bus ride and felt like I was gonna fall off. ;P Grace and I then took a ride back using Nicole's car (thanks!). :D

Contacts

Hey everyone!

I went to Compass Point Nanyang Optical Shop today... to try on contact lenses!!!! I had to stay at the library for 3 hours liddat though, as I was waiting for my mother...

I was trying to put on the contacts for like 30 mins... before I could actually PUT them on MYSELF... -.- gosh! Contacts are sooooo hard to put. Taking them out was kinda easy, putting them on is harder... >.< And as all of you know, my eyes are small!!!!! Yep, so I had a problem with putting the contact thingy in... And, another problem. Long eyelashes. I had long eyelashes and they kept touching the contacts, making it like bend backwards??? -.- so mah fun... And I kept tearing... quite painful... :(

But it was my first time wearing contacts, so yeah, was kinda amazing and TOO clear for me... The world seems so bright now. XD However, now, looking at the laptop screen, some words like seem so hazy... Yep, and I have to keep blinking if not I will feel uncomfortable. I feel so conscious as there is a plastic-like thingy ON my eye!!!!! ;P LOL

Tomorrow we will be going to IVP - some young inventors fair thingy. My class was like practically CHEERING when the teacher say that they will be excused from CCA if they go. Hahas. My class had the most number of ppl going, obviously. 10 ppl I think... Looking forward to tomorrow's photo taking. Got one particular year 6-1 one damn funny man. Stanley's specs dropped I think and the bunch of guys laughing while teasing him... XD

Hello! Today is offically Teachers Day!!! I LOVE teachers day! Cuz not only the teachers have a break, the students have one too!!! :D

Kk, so I did this spread sheet thingy which asked me to just key in my birthday. I did it. And it is SERIOUSLY accurate. I do not really rate stuff accurate unless it REALLY is.

Teachers

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!

Today was teachers day! Was soooooo fun!!!! :D

I took LOTS of pictures. But I cannot upload!!!!! :(

kk, so anyway, this is a super special day to express our gratitude for our teachers. :D

Our teachers are always guiding us through the darkness, lighting up our way. They are like a candle. They consume themselves to light up the way. They sacrifice for us. They may put up a straight front but they are actually very caring inside. They may express their care and concern in a different way from what we want. However, they still care all the same. So, say a "Thank You!" to your teachers and make their day! :)

Anyway, we went back to meet Miss Tan. Then, Miss Tan was taking such LONG time. So, I went off at like 3.30pm. -.- so saddd...

Yo everyone!!! :)

Today, my parents needed to go out for some workshop. So, my brother and I were left alone at home. I woke up at around 9.45am. I slept quite late last night so I set my alarm clock later. I found my brother watching television, okto. Kids...

I toasted the breakfast and made milo. Afterwards, I watched, "Knowing" with my brother. My parents are watching now, XD. Knowing is quite a nice movie. The plot is nice. However, the movie is too slow. Sometimes, there is too much talking. The starting of the movie was very captivating. I was immediately interested in the movie. The movie is this girl (Lucinda), she wrote a bunch of numbers as they were whispered into her head. They predicted all the major events where lives were lost. When she was writing the last few numbers, the teacher took the paper away from her. The numbers were important. The paper was placed in a time capsule. Then, John and his son, Caleb received it when all the students received one during the opening of the time capsule 50 years later. They realise that in the end, the whole world would die, except Caleb and Abby, the grand-daughter of Lucinda. John was separated from Caleb for that was the only way Caleb could stay alive. In the end, John returned to the home he did not went to for very long. It was there that he and his family die as the sun's strong rays destroy the ozone layer and kill all life on Earth.

After the movie, my bro and I ate cup noodles. I ate laksa, he ate chicken abalone. Then, we watch "Race to Witch Mountain". It is a very exciting show which had lots of drama. It was something like the transporter... Haha. About this cab driver who comes upon this 2 aliens disguised as teenagers. He must bring them to their spaceship. If not, the aliens who invade Earth. As usual, there would be bad guys. :D Was quite a nice movie. :)
Yep, now my restaurant city I wanna lvl up!!!!!!! XD And I finally finished my Chinese blog! :D

Breakdown...

Today, during maths lesson, i did not bring my calculator. I thought today was day 5, but it was day 10. I followed the wrong time-table. Anyway, why they have all sorts of days! Then they keep changing! Pri Sch better! 5 days only and sure never change one!
Anyway, so there was this pop quiz and I need calculator. And I don't have. So I can bet that I sure fail or just pass... -.- At that point of time, i felt like crying, seriously. And Mrs Tay was like gu yi zheng dui wo liddat. She said at the end, "Sue Qin, put your pen down." I was like felt like crushing the damn paper and throwing at her! God!!!!!
Then, at softball, another breakdown.
Vernetta said faster faster when i was like throwing the ball to coach. Then coach thought is Germs say, then ask her go demostrate. Germs dun wan, then coach ask her run one round. He was like suddenly SUPER serious. We are like also shocked. Germs reluctantly run. Then, she suddenly like stop running and sat down. Turns out she was already sick b4 that. So she now like having slight fever. Then, she just cried.
Coach said wanna see her then she said she felt like puking. So she went inside to puke for like 30 mins. Then, softball ended but she still haven come out. Thus, after changing, we went to look for her. Had a nice chat with her and comforted her. She also talked to the senior and coach. Afterwards, she got better and went home. Apparently, her parents were already waiting for her in the car...
Then, she smsed us thanking her. I smsed, "Cheer up :D" And I shall say it again:
CHEER UP!!!!!! Everyone breaks down sometimes~...

Fun

Today, Nicole and I went to Parkway Parade to meet up with Yohanes, Ming Yu and Zhen Yang.
We took bus 43 and sat in it for a long 50 plus minutes. Haiz, was kinda boring. Near the end of the journey, we were kinda scared cuz we dunno where we are. Haha. But we finally found the stop that we were supposed to get down, cuz I took 196 there before. :)
Then, we waited for Zhen Yang to appear. When he came, we realised something funny.
These are the colours of our shirts:
Yohanes-red
MingYu-yellow
ZhenYang-orange
Nicole-white
Me-black
Get it? Yohanes(red) and Mingyu(yellow) equals Zhenyang(orange)! XD
Then, Nicole(white) and I(black) are totally contrasting. LOL!
Was super funny then! We then wasted like 20 mins deciding where to eat.
Finally, we decided to go to Bistro Delifrance. Apparently, ALL the guys NEVER ate delifrance before. Nicole and I were so shocked lor~!
Yohanes wanted to go Delifrance cuz.... there was student meal! LOL! I ate before already actually... -.-
So, the waiters are like u know, dun care about us cuz we are students liddat. I was kinda pissed off though. Then, we all picked what we wanted already. Except Yohanes, cuz he dun wan Special all-day breakfast, which was the only choice left. then, we like arguing saying jus order lahs. but he dun wan. so, to end it faster, i sacrifice myself and say I eat the damn breakfast lahs. Haiz, finally, Yohanes was appeased... but he wanted the creamy chicken and mushroom baked rice. I was so irritated. I switched with him and he want somemore!!!! -.-
The food took damn long, not just that. Just calling for a waiter was already super long sia. I felt really angry. So what if we are kids? We also deserve respect. And I can bet that whatever we asked for, we had to ask at least 2 times!!!! >:(
While waiting and eating, we chatted. Was really funny lorh! I did not know that Yohanes had brothers. He seemed like the only child lehs~! Then, MingYu had a sister. Gosh! I do not know a lot about them! Hahas.
The meeting up was really damn funny and perfect way to bond us closer!!!!
Really enjoyed this 'outing'!!!!! :D

Yep, I got low marks for my Geog test. But, there were friends who laughed at me saying why I not sad and there were those who encouraged me, etc. I really appreciated you all encouraging and trying to cheer me up. :D
I am lucky to have friends like y'all! :)
I will learn from this lesson. After all, there is always time for firsts. XD
Well, an advice to those out there.
1)Don't do last minute stuff. It will be hard to study.
2)Study with friends. The moral support helps.
3)Love the subject you are studying. :) (if you don't, then TRY.)
4)Bring your favourite coloured pens. It kinda makes you wanna study. XP

Yep, thats about all. Not much to report these days. Like no BIG events. Haha.

failure

I cannot believe this. The harsh reality stared right back at me, straight and sure. I merely looked back with disbelief. This could not be true. I had never experienced this before. What had gone wrong? There must have been some kind of mistake. I whispered, "Oh my god."

I FAILED MY GEOGRAPHY TEST.

I have never ever failed a graded test before.

I was shocked. Just shocked. The number 6.5 stared back at me unwittingly. I could do nothing but whisper, "Oh my god." The teacher said hesitantly, "Yes, you did quite badly this time round. So, I have organised a remedial lesson just for this chapter, Rivers. Which lesson could you go? Wednesday or Thursday?" I merely replied, "Thursday." I was still shocked. I did not feel sad, or feel like crying. Just plain shock.

***Btw, this is NOT a composition of any kind. THIS IS TRUE. EVERY WORD OF IT. I AM STILL TRYING TO ACCEPT THAT HARSH REALITY. :'(

the fun we had

We had class outing (1K) yesterday!!! :D

Grace and I set off at around 10am and reached Pasir Ris MRT at 10.25am. We called and waited for those who were supposed to fetch us to Pasir Ris Park. They were like SUPER slow. After waiting for 40 mins, we could finally set off and walk to the park. While waiting, Zhen Yang waited with us. It seemed kinda boring so Zhen Yang suddenly said, "Let's talk about Mee Kia and Mee Pok. Which one you think is better?" The question was SO random that we ended up laughing. XD

The party cum outing was fun and enjoyable. The best part was that we got to know each other better now! It turns out that Valen was not really a "non-active" person! He even went down to sea and played in WATER!!! XP Haha! Zhen Yang, Ming Yu, Xu Hua, Felix, Krystal, Pamela and me played in the water. It was super fun splashing each other. And as we brought extra clothes, we could play all we wanted without worrying. The irritating part was that the water was salty, so if we accidentally swallowed some water, it would taste REALLY yucky!!! ;P

We also had a picnic. The food was specially prepared by Yohanes and a few others. (speaking of food, I haven't pay the $3! :P) There were nuggets, hotdogs, noodles, chicken, fishballs, drinks, pasta! The pasta looked kinda gross so I did not eat it. The other stuff were okay though some of them were soggy due to condensation. D:

We played some games like pass the rubber band. We used our mouths to hold the straws in our mouth then passed the rubber bands using the straws. We also had the spoon and egg game. We played blanket too. Was like kinda 'serious' at the starting but it got fun afterwards. Benedict kept saying 'err' and then we sabo him saying that that was a name so he got wrong! Haha. :)

Finally, we cleared up and got ready to leave. Although some of them still wanted to play at the playground. Nicole G., Grace and I took bus 89 home. :D

This class outing was a SUCCESS compared to previous ones I think! Though the number was quite small and it rained at first, the party still ended up well. :D

***Poor Ying Xuan. She started feeling sick during the party and she did not go to school today... :(
