Yo guys!!! I am racking my brains out these days just to think of a title for my posts. -.- Anyway, I had forgotten to talk about Mingyu's birthday party. So, yep, thats what I would be talking about.
Mingyu's b'dae
It started out when Nicole and I met at Compass Point to buy Mingyu his birthday present. :D Grace had some guides thingy going on so it was only Nic and I. We went to action city. Nuthing. So, went to popular obviously. We saw a book and were hesitating about whether we should buy that. Cuz we do not know if Mingyu has that book already. So, we went round and round. First, we saw a cute small plastic chair and wanted to buy a soft toy to go with it. So the soft toy can sit on the chair. But then, after considering that Mingyu is a guy and might not want that, we discarded that idea. We eventually found a stationary holder which can like turn so you can get things on the other side. Sooo coooll!!!!! I kinda want that too~
Then, we headed to Downtown east. It was drizzling and the wind was strong. I didn't tie up my hair so it was like all over my face. XD Just nice, bus 89 came and we boarded it. It was soo damn freaking cold! Nic and I were like struggling to contain our heat lest it dissipate into the surroundings. (I am kinda infactuated with the word, "dissipate" these days.) Nearing Downtown east, there was a junction and some kinda of traffic police was directing traffic. And it was like as if he got some kind of grudge against us. He kept letting other cars go, but not ours. Nic and I were furious and saying stuff like, "Does he even have a license?!" Haha. Then, when we FINALLY reached, Nicole said that Gen was at subway and she kinda needed help. Haha. When we got to subway, Ying Xuan came too so the four of us headed to Ming yu's chalet. It was pouring and we had to share umbrellas. While walking, Nicole and I were still joking though some rain splashed on us. (not very accurate)
Lightning flashes.
Nicole: "Later we get struck by lightning."
Me: "Haha. Don't worry. Wanna strike also strike those 2 behind."
Laughs.
Get it? The 'those 2 behind' were Gen and Ying xuan. Cuz they were tall so lightning usually strike tall objects. To Gen and yx: JKJK only ahs. Dont take it seriously. XP
Since it was raining, we could not BBQ. The four of us ate kinderjoy with Mingyu. The band grp then arrived. Mingyu's mother was so nice as to go and packet some sushi for us to eat. It was definitely stomach-saving. Heehee. And we watched la bi xiao xing so we were not really that focused on it. Nic was also playing around with some scary mask. She kept trying to scare ppl except that it always failed. Only Joelle and Boning got scared, hahaas. :D Then, Yuan wen, Nic and I went down and started standing on the seats which was near the BBQ pits. We chatted and argued about Band and Guides on which one was better as a CCA. In the end, Yuan got so confused she accidentally say Band not good. Haha. Then, all of us started to 'salvage' the fire which was going out. I put charcoal and stuff. It was kinda irritating as it was raining. That was like the worse BBQ I have ever went to. -.- But in the end, the fire got better (like after 1 h) and food finally got cooked.
We then sang Mingyu's birthday song and ate cake. :) By the way, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, MINGYU!!!

...
I do not know what to write for this post's title so u guys will have to settle for the 3 dots. Haha. XD Anyway, I shall talk about today. Hmm... I haven't done that for a looonnnnggggg time. :)
I had softball training today. Seriously, my throwing still sucks. I think my problem is in transferring my energy to the ball. Even though I use a lot of energy, somehow it kinds of dissipate into the surroundings and the ball ends up all loose and slow. So, I think thats my problem. But.... when I throw properly, I cant put my energy into the ball -.- Thats why I used something like side throw last time... Haiz. Anyway, forget about that.
Continuing, when I was on the bus 158 to school, I ran into Joey, Joelle's sis. I did not see her at first until she call my name. I was like thinking, "Gosh! She remembers me!" Well, it is kinda rare cuz ppl do not usually rmb their relatives' friends' names. XD Anyway, it was nice of her to remember me. :) I took her to the general office. Apparently, there was something like a gathering??? She did not tell me :( Haha, there were like parents gathered there so maybe something like a school exchange?
So, after softball training, I was SUPPOSED to help out for some CIP thingy. But then! Joelle told me that there were enough ppl there helping already so I need not come. I was kinda irritated seriously cuz I did not know that I needed to go yesterday to find out what to do at first. >:( Haiz. The misery of life~~~~ JKJK. Anyway, so I went to buy macs to collect the sticker thingy for monopoly!!!!!! Haha. XD
While on the way back on the bus, I saw a mother and her daughter. The situation is like this. The daughter is chattering non-stop on the bus. The daughter disturbs her mother and keeps saying, "I wanna go up! I wanna go up and sit." The mother gets angry and says harshly, "Shut up!"
My first thought was, "The poor girl! How can the mother scold the daughter like that?" Then, it hit me. I should not draw to conclusions too quickly like that. I should not sympathise immediately with the little girl just because she is innocent. Well, so what if the girl may not be in the wrong? But it DOES NOT mean that the mother is to blame. The mother is just irritated after a hard day. What's more, the daughter may have been complaining all the way from Orchard road to here. The mother could not stand it any longer and bursts out.
So, who is to be blamed? NONE. I just realised that people, namely Man, like to find fault with someone. They just NEED to. An example: The Mayans predict that the end of the world is gonna come in year 2012. People do not really believe this as there is no concrete proof. However, IF that day really comes, the people will start to blame the government for not taking precautions. Situations like this always happen. We just blame someone to make ourselves feel better. We feel better when we think that we are not the cause of such unfortunate events. However, there is the cause and effect theory. EVERYTHING is the cause of something. From the dinosaur age to now, everything affects everything. I may say something was caused by Jane. Jane will say it was caused by May who told her to go. May would say it was someone else who suggested it. In the end, the blame ends up with someone we do not even know.
K, now I feel weird. Cuz I am writing all this funny stuff about chim stuff that I find weird writing. -.-'''
Haiz. This is life indeed.

farewell
I shall be talking about Mr Sng's farewell ceromony. :) It happened on the 6th Nov 2009.
The start of the ceremony was obviously welcoming Mr Sng. He was wearing something like a backpack. Looks so funny!!!! XP Then all of Dunman High cheered damn loudly. Cameras were flashing and the mood was HIGH~ It was like Mr Sng was some kind of superstar! :D
They started with a video I think. It was made by the teachers. It was sooooo funny! Especially they way the teachers act and talk, even sing! There was one vid where the teachers show what characteristics Mr Sng have. So, to show the next one, the next teacher would push the previous teacher away. The way they did it was sooo funny!!!!!! XD I really have to admit that their 'acting' skills are not bad. :P
Afterwards, each year would present something like a presentation for Mr Sng. Naturally, the year 1s went first. I have to say, Boning's acting was good! And funny! Haha. Especially the part where he sang. At the starting, he went abit off-tune and the dunmanians laughed. I really pei fu him for even though the students laughed, he continued to sing bravely. Seriously, not everyone can sing in front of the whole crowd, much less the principal.
The rest of the years' performance are kinda mundane. But I know that they put a lot of effort into it. However, I feel that the year 1s performance was the most 'colourful' as it was funny and full of life. :D
Although, the students have to bear some pain as well. :( We sat on the ground for 3 hours+ and there was not really enough space. Grace and I have to take turns to like switch sitting positions. One of us would sit cross legged while the other would bend her knees like the usual crying position??? Haha. So it was quite excruciating. I think I am exaggerating with the word, "excruciating". Heehee. XD
Then, Mr Sng gave a speech. Even though he said that he was going to make it short, he dragged it in the end. -.- Hahas. He thanked us, students, as well as those who have helped him in one way or another. There was this incident mentioned when someone whose job was not to help him wash his coffee cup, helped him. I think that that person was really a good role model. He went out of his way to help Mr Sng and that deserves to be praised. :D
The finale was the best part I think! We sung "当你孤单你会想起谁". I absolutely love singing as a whole school. I think that one good point of Dunman High is when we have this mass singing session, everyone will sing. Even if they dun sing loudly, they will at least whisper. The very last part was when we have to sing the SCHOOL SONG. That time was the loudest I have ever heard DHS sing. I could not help but smile at hearing everyone sing. That moment was unforgettable. It was one of those times when you have a warm feeling enveloping your body, making you shiver :D
Lastly, I would like to give my thanks to Mr Sng. Even though I do not know him well, I would still like to express my appreciation for what he had done for Dunman High. He designed programmes that would enrich our learning experience and he spent money and time on building a new campus so as to create a conducive environment for us to study. All these are worth thanking for. :) It is also because of his part in governing the school that Dunman High can shine today. :D Thanks, Mr Sng.

clean up
We cleaned up East Coast Park's beach because of..... post-exams activities. I have mentioned those 3 words for the past 2 posts, didn't I? Haha.
So, Nicole, Krystal, Gen and I were officially stuck with the 3 muskerteers. LOL. So, the trash bag which we were supposed to use for collecting rubbish was left with them and they FORGOT to bring it down! Argh. We were damn angry sia. So in the end the WHOLE CLASS was slowed down. But..... there is a silver lining in every cloud. (correct?) We were just nice near the underground shelter when it started to rain. We were MUCH MORE fortunate than the other students who had to run all the way to ECP for shelter. So.... I guess that was a blessing in disguise???
We then went to pick rubbish. Nicole said she wanted to find something interesting. But in the end, all the interesting stuff were found by the guys. They found a damn huge pencil, a toy eye, a brick?!!! Haha. We found lots of cigarettes. Haiz. The beach was really quite dirty lors. Please, people!!!! SAVE THE EARTH!!!.... and us students who are cleaning up the beach. heehee.

Movies
I went to watch this movie as it was part of the school's post-exam activities.
This girl, Coraline, finds herself in another world where everything is PERFECT, unlike her real world. She starts to like it a lot. However, the people in that world have button eyes. When the perfect mother tells her to sew on button eyes so that Coraline can stay in that world, Coraline refuses and gets frightened. It turns out that the perfect mother is not as perfect as she thinks. You may watch the show to find out what exactly happens.
I will give it a rating of 2.5/5.
Firstly, the 3D animation is abit too dizzy for me and the glasses are too heavy. Hahas. It would be best to watch it with contacts. Also, the starting of the show is not really that interesting. Like it is quite draggy. The behind part of the movie is more interesting. :)

Iris and I went to watch Astro Boy yesterday at Century Square. :) You may read Iris' post too.
Anyway, this story is about a little boy called Toby who is the son of a famous professor, Dr Tenma. A guy running for an election comes to know about the blue and red core. The blue is positive energy while the red is negative energy. The guy puts a red core inside a robot and the robot ends up killing Toby. Dr Tenma is depressed over Toby's death and recreates a new robot which resembles Toby and it also has his memories. The robot is powered up by the blue core. However, Dr Tenma soon realises that the robot is not Toby. 'Toby' knows about it and rushes off to find his own place in the world. He meets friends. He thus names himself Astro. Meanwhile, the election guy takes the red core. He tracks down Astro and fights against him...
I give this movie 3/5.
The plot is quite interesting. :) The animations are cool and I am quite touched at some points. But, it was not exactly enough to keep me crying for a whole 2 minutes. Haha. XD

maths trial
We has Maths Trail for one of the post-exam activities.
My team was an ALL GIRLS team!!! XD
K, so anyway, we went to stations and completed tasks which relate us to maths and everyday life. Like how maths can be found and applied daily. :)
Anyway, our last station was the crop circles station where we had a make-shift compass. It was soooo hard to draw perfect circles when the string kept coming off. :( But at the last part, we went to draw on the floor with chalk, which was erasable. XD We wrote names, etc. Haha. Was so much fun! :) Here are some pictures.

school
Yo! I am officially blogging from the SCHOOL. XD Lol, but then this is the first time I am blogging in Dunman High, though I have from Compassvale primary School. :) Mr Lum is sooooooo nice that I take back what I say about his brother. heehee. You must be thinking WHAT did I say exactly. Well....
Remember before the netball interclass? yep, we (gals) went to anchorvale CC's basketball court to play as well as train. Hahas. [at this point of time, Nicole typed "so weird seeing sueqin blogging beside" LOL.] Anyway, back to the story, we went to compass point to eat Long John Silver. So, when we went there, we realised that a waiter there looked and talked abit like Mr Lum. XD And we were laughing over how long he took to serve food, etc. Then, while we were eating, Nicole G. saw a hole in his pants, BUT it has been stitched up. It was so damn funny cuz she talked about the hole first then the stitching up part. So we kinda thought that the hole was like... THERE. Haha.
Anyway, am playing RC now and watching some Jap show. Haha. K, gonna stop cuz I wanna watch. Btw, leelaoshi was nice today and gave a bee choc and lollipop. :D Will post the pic :)

trashed
On the second day of netball interclass, my class played with 1L. I dunno why and how, but then 1L suddenly got damn strong lor! I was defending Maranda for the first round then Beatriz for the second round. Maranda was really quick, obviously. Beatriz was good at moving backwards to catch the ball. So, I had a really tough time defending. -.-
Haha. Finally, after a lot of sweat lost, we lost to 17 to 2. TRASHED. But then, we had some fun and enjoyed the experience. After all, our goal was top 8 and we achieved it. :D Yay!
After the netball interclass, Nicole, Grace and I went to e!hub to watch "Imagine That". I think that the movie is quite nice, but not that special or anything. I mean, it was funny but the plot and everything was not that unique and it did not stick into my head. The show was about the father who was a workaholic and a girl who talked to imaginary friends. One day, the father realises that the girl's 'friends' can actually predict stocks stuff. Like which company to buy or sell. The father then goes with his daughter to visit the friends. Through the time, the father and daughter bond grows closer. I would rate the movie as 2.5/5.
By the way, the finals was yesterday and 1L won against with the score of 15 to 5. Now, I don't feel so bad losing. XD heehee.
Anyway, I got back all the test grades and marks today.
Geog - A+
Chi - A
Maths - A
LA - B
Sci - B
Hist - B
Argh. I have a feeling that my GPA overall wont be that high. :(

top 8
Yay!!!!!!!! 1 Kellyx's netball team has reached the TOP 8!!!!!!! Gosh!!!!!! So happy~!!!!!! :D
K, so, we were actually defeated by 1A first cuz they were damn strong and we haven't warm up yet. What's more, the WA of 1A kept like sticking to me. I mean, fine, stick lahs. But then! She kept putting up her arms! Wasn't that NOT allowed? Damn irritating sia. D: Afterwards, we were damn sad cuz we lost by 9 to 4? Then, Joelle kept complaining that Miss Lee kept poking her and complaining that we did not run to open space. Haha. We were quite saddd by the recent defeat. But then, our spirits were still strong. We knew that we had a chance to beat 1J.
So, during the match of 1J, we were pretty hyped up. And the scores was not that bad. We WON!!!! 1 to 5??? So cool! We were like cheering and high-fiving everywhere! So happy~! Cuz we might have a chance to go to top 8. IF 1J did not win against 1A. Then, we went to watch the guys. Guess what? They were losing - 0 to 34 (i think). OMG!!!!!!! Ying Xuan was like soooo frustrated and scolded Felix as a blur pok (i think). Hahahs. We got quite anxious and started cheering for the guys. Then, they finally got 4 points!!! Not bad, at least we did not have a 'zero' on the scoreboard. heehee.
Then, the gals went to buy some drinks to replenish our water supply. Then, we went to watch the guys play for one round. Afterwards, we watch 1A play against 1J. We were actually secretly wishing in our hearts that 1A would win. Cuz then we could go to top 8. I feel kinda bad in my heart that I would have such thoughts. But then a competition is a competition. The scores were REALLY close too. The difference was only one or 2 points. We figured out that the 1J could win cuz 1A's defence was not that good. They also did not 'pressure' the GS. Hahas. But in the end, 1A won. I must say that their team is really good. But only for the attack. Their defence is still abit weak. But they managed. :D
We were soooo happy!!!!!! I think the guys did not get in. Felt saddd. But then, they tried their best. And that is what matters. What's more, the experience would be a wonderful addition to their memory. :)
Anyway, at this point of time, my brother is at home due to PSLE marking days. And he is being terribly annoying. I did not do anything then he say that I very irritating. And then, he say that my mother ask him do Lead assignment. Argh!!!!! I really feel like bashing him up!!!!!!!!! >:( He is so damn irritating man! And when he puts his legs up on the table, he starts shaking them and kicking them, creating a lot of noise. He says, "I wish you did not come back home."
Like I wanted to come back to a home with HIM! now I WISH THAT HE WAS AT THE CHILDCARE, NOT AT HOME. Seriously, there is no reason for him to be here as he is practically doing nothing. D:< Why did I have a brother????!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I MUST MUST MUST tell you about this book, "TH1RTEEN R3ASONS WHY".
"Clay Jenson doesn't want anything to do with the tapes Hannah Baker made. Hannah is dead. Her secrets should be buried with her. Then Hannah's voice tells Clay that his name is on his tapes -- and that he is, in some way, responsible for her death. All through the night, Clay keeps listening. He follows Hannah's recorded words throughout his small town... and what he discovers changes his life forever." (quoted from the cover of "Thirteen Reasons Why")
This is an extremely touching and fascinating story. The tapes and the people she mention are all so real, in some ways. The fact that you find some of them similar to you is eerie. The way Hannah says her feelings, like when she wants to die, is so truthful and heart rendering. I had some of the emotions mentioned in the book before, and I find it scary that she can actually say out exactly how I felt at that point of time. This book would teach you a true lesson about trying, giving up and lastly, hope. All the people who have heard these tapes are forced to reflect on what they have done and think about how did it affect Hannah. I strongly encourage everyone to read this, it is a book in a million.
