Interesting stuff...

LSP lesson
We baked some pastry stuff and it looked like tarts. :) Anyway, for the information of everyone, I will just type out the recipe. :D

Shortcrust Pastry
Ingredients:
Pinch of salt
175g plain flour
75g chilled butter / pastry magarine
Cold water

Preparation Method
1) Mix together the flour, salt and magarine with your fingertips until the mixture resembles find breadcrumbs. :)
2) Add water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough binds together and knead it carefully. (Remember not to add too much water!)
3) Roll it out using a kneading roll (?) until it is about 0.5cm thick.
4) Use a metal shape thingy to cut out the shape. Diameter of the metal thingy should be about 4-5cm to make about 13 tarts.
5) Roll out the circle dough a little.
6) Place it in the muffin paper (used to hold muffins). Spread it around. Use a fork to poke some holes in it.
7) Put jam or custard in the middle of the dough. (Yummy!)
8) Toast it until the jam or custard starts to bubble. Let it 'boil' for about 5 mins.
9) Let it cool. :)

Interesting reptile
While walking back from softball today, we(Jingwen, Nicole wooi and I) saw a strange looking reptile from afar, the bridge across the Kallang River. We were so fascinated as the reptile looked really unusually big and there was another small little creature behind it! The small creature looked like a turtle or terrapin. We scurried down to catch a glimpse of it. But it was too late, it had hidden under the shelter where we cannot see it. We even tried throwing rocks at the water to make it come out. Plan failed. :( Jingwen then said that she saw a humming bird fly away when she went near the river. She also managed to catch a glimpse of the mysterious reptile. At least she did! I didn't! :'( And it was really interesting...
On the way home, we catch sight of a yellow bird, which I think is called a booboo bird??? Anyway, I took a picture of it. But the bird was soooo small that it only a tiny speck on my picture. I zoomed in and it was totally blur. Nevertheless, I am going to post it just for fun. :)

Six-one outing

Rained on Wednesday, when we had softball. I struggled to keep my shoes aka socks dry. Well, I sort of accomplished it. xP

Well, according to me, I have been like socializing quite well. But still no like super close friends. I think nicole (wooi) and grace r like that stage already. Hahas. :D Always see them together!~ Suting is like Jasmine (6-1). The happy-go-lucky kind. Heehee. :) Well, there is I think no girl to compare with Yuping. She is still one of a kind, super crazy that kind opf gal! Haha. Well, recently, there has been like lots of conflict between Geneveive and Joelle. Well, seriously saying, I think both also have their bad points so trying not to compare but sometime, they really piss me off, sometime. Like indirectly do it. lols.

Conversation with Coach
One Monday's softball, it was raining. I was actually, truthfully saying, quite happy as i did not have to walk to the field. However, what was to come was even more worse...
We were supposed to run around the area surrounding the sports hall and the school hall for 10 mins! While running, the 10 mins seemed like eternity to us! *.*
Afterwards, we were supposed to do physical training. Man, was I exhausted! After doing some push-ups, sit-ups, crutches (correct spelling?) and dynamics and wateva, we went next to a wall and did some sitting posture which was torturing... I felt like vomiting! Seriously, I felt sick! Cause after doing such vigorous exercise, then 'sitting down', there is like a huge difference, thus causing the discomfort in my tummy.
Venetta(correct?) commented that my face was pale, compared to my usual colour. I only nodded, trying to ease the discomfort. The coach came up to me and pressed my arm to see how much strength I am using. He mentioned that I was not using enough strength. I felt like shouting and screaming at him, "I feel like vomiting and am naseuous! You still wanna me to use more strength?!" Of cuz i didn't, if not, I would be 'marked'. hahs.

Busy Days Ahead
Currently, I think I have about... 3 projects? Both individual and teamed. Days ahead are sure to be busy, busy and more business. Feeling like as if I want to just break down, off my engine and go into a deep sleep, just like Sleeping Beauty, although I am not a beauty, only to be awaken one hundred years later. Sleeping Beauty must have felt really rejuvenated. *sigh*
Softball training has also gotten really tough. On Sat, Dunman High's year 2s competed against Anglican High, TK and a school whose uniform was light blue. We won the first three matches but I am not sure about the last... By the way, my face is like, tanned into two colours due to my spectacles! Argh!!!
Twilight craze
Recently, there as been an inevitable sign of a Twilight craze. For your information, I am currently waiting for Breaking Dawn, which I will be borrowing from Mu Rong. :)
I want to take this chance to thank all who had lent me their books! Truly, you make my day! Thanks for lending me the books! x)
Lack Of Post
Sincerely sorry for the lack of posts! I think it has been 9 days since the last post. Well, like I have just said, Busy Days Ahead! Tomorrow will be Monday and I will be able to sleep late but then I will have to stand in the hot, blazing sun when I get to school and assemble for assembly. -.-'''

Twilight
Recently, I have been HOOKED onto Twilight! Finished the first book and am gonna read the second which is New Moon. :) But I heard that all the others are like sorta boring and that seriously, Twilight is still the best. x) Dunno but will find out soon enough!
Busy life...
Haiz... Yes, as the title suggests, my usually boring and uninteresting life has turned into a busy one with lots of events! I seriously dunno how the senior Dunmanians cope with the heavy workload! Wow, I simply admired them! xP So far, there has been 2 mascot events and 1 'model' event. The model one is coming up and we are supposed to create a costume for the model, who is dear Genevieve. She is like the model for the fashion show during Total Defence Day. Hahs. :D The materials have to be environmentally friendly.
Soon, we are gonna have a class tee and the business will start all over again! Hahas. :) But I think that it is worth it as I see the smiley faces of my newly-made classmates. :)
Softball
Well, dunno what was wrong with Coach but he seemed like mad yesterday. Well, moody I guess. And then we were trained by the Year 3s for PT (physical training). Whew! Was it tiring! x( Was nearly gonna die and we were asked to run around the super big field at least 4 times???!!! Haiz, training is indeed tough huh? But i pity the seniors the most as they had to run with us too! xP
Valentine's Day
Yesterday was Valen's birthday and there came about a joke saying "Valentine's Day" Hahas! :) And we sang him a birthday song two times, much to his horror. Heehee. Some of my friends even took it down! Haha. :)

Well, yesterday was friday the thirteenth and something bad DID happen, but i am not gonna tell u all... I am soooo NOT looking forward to next month's friday the thirdteenth! And Beldric even said: "Happy fri 13th!" Creepy.... -.-'''

The post before
Pardon me for my harsh attitude. Just to let you all know, Vivianne and us are like... friends again? Haha. You know, the thing about friends is that no matter how hard you try to separate them, they will still stick back together like super glue. Unless they move away or something... LOL.

Softball is definitely NOT soft
Had my FIRST taste of what softball training will be like. And guess what it tasted like? Well, a little bitter and too spicy... something like bitter gourd and chilli??? LOL. xD
Anyway, training was like super tough and we had to walk to Kallang Field which was like a distant 'light' that was too faraway to reach out for... -.-''' Yes, I think that it might have been enough to train for my 1.6km?
Since we did not get to use the glove as we had not bought it yet... we had to catch the rubber ball with both our hands. And it was NEARLY torture... xP
Whenever the ball hits my fingers, I feel like as if I had just been electrocuted... The pain is indescribable (correct spelling?)! :(

the worst day of my secondary school life... and this might just be the beginning...

i had once mentioned that i hated saying bad stuff about someone on my blog.
but this time, my fury knows no bounds. and i have to do this...
it was after school.
looking at the dark clouds in the sky, rain was eminent.
ate lunch with nicole, genevieve, krystal and grace.
i ate chicken rice, something which i had a craving for today.
met up with yu ping and maranda who had been looking all around the canteen for us.
they said that vivianne was late and that we had to wait another 15 min for her before we can go off together. i smsed her.
she replied that she needed another 10 min and that she was not eating lunch here.
"not eating lunch here. that's good." i thought to myself.
at least we did not need to wait for her for another 15 min or so.
waiting... waiting... unknowingly, it had started to rain... slight drizzle...
the slight drizzle soon turned to a huge downpour.
we were worried that it might turn worse, thus, decided to stop waiting for vivianne.
while walking out of school, we chanced upon vivianne.
she was with a friend.
she said, "you all go back first, i will go and find a teacher with her."
we were mad. totally.
that meant that we actually did not have to wait for her.
to make things worse, we walked in the pouring rain.
however, even the umbrella seems useless at that point of time.
our bags were wet and our shoes were wet right to the inside too.
to make things even more worse, while waiting for the traffic light to turn green,
a bus which was driving at a high speed went pass us and guess what:
the water splashed on us! boy, were we wet and angry!
imagine the water which people had stepped in splashing on us!
imagine what we must have felt then!
furious, wet, cold, uncomfortable, sad...
and this was all because of vivianne?
we texted her when we were on the bus:
"Do you know that u were very selfish?
we waited for you for 20 min and we are now wet through out.
we are freezing on the bus.
you made us wait and it rained.
in the end, u did not even come with us.
why did you go to the general office?
you should have came straight to us.
next time, dont expect us to wait.
dont reply, save your 'PRECIOUS' money."
yes, so what if we were unreasonable and rude to blame everything on her?
if it was not for her:
-maranda's shoes which she had just worn for the first time today would not be wet
-our bags would not have been wet and yu ping's friend's book would not have been wet, if any printings' ink came out, how will yu ping explain to her friend?
-our shoes would not have been wet and we would not have to rush getting it cleaned and dried
-i would not have to waste 40 min of my PRECIOUS time washing my shoes, socks and skirt thoroughly
i am super angry at her.
every morning, she is also late, what can i do but just go off without her?
hope that she changes this attitude of hers...

Fire incident in Science Lab
When I recall this incident, I feel like laughing.
We, 1K, had a Science lesson. We were supposed to learn how to on the bunsen burner and off it. We learnt about luminous and non-luminous flame. :) interesting.
Then, we were supposed to move a satay stick in and out of the flame twenty times. We did but when Geneveive did that, the flame caught fire and we nearly screamed. The teacher came and told her to throw the stick into the sink. Haha. When we recalled what happened, we giggled non-stop. :D

Happy Chinese Niu Year!
Yes, chinese new year has arrived and I went to a lot of relatives' houses to visit them as well as collect hongbao! xP (that's the GREAT thing about CNY)
Went to my maternal grandmother's house around 11am. There was still no one there yet. We were extremely early compared to others. Greeted my uncle's dog, Xiao Bao aka XB, and played with it. She is still as cute as ever. Her nails had grown to be long and when she leaps at me, I cannot help but feel a slight pain and tickle. Hopefully, she cuts her nails soon. :)
Soon, my cousins, aunties and uncles came. Collected hongbaos, of course! :) Then, ate popiah by wrapping it ourselves! Had great fun and took lots of pictures! My cousin and I wore nearly the same clothings at each other! :) Have chemistry??? Looking around, I found out that the 'favourite combinations' this year were: white, purple and red.
Next, I went to my paternal grandparents' house. :) Usual routine: collect hongbaos. heehee. xD Watched my cousins (boys) play the Nintendo DSs. Scolded my brother for moving the stylus to hard and making the screen scatch! hahas. Afterwards, we went to my uncle's house.
We played the Nintendo Wii at my uncle's house and got dizzy due to the confusing images. We played Mario Kart and since the screen was divided into two, we felt that the game was not really that fun to play.
Then, we headed to Uncle Victor's house. He owned a bungalow and we explored his house only to find that almost EVERY room had a television. WOW! Met a young and cute little boy (one year old) called Darren? I think. Collected hongbaos as usual. Then, went home in a rush to catch the Little Nyonya Big Reunion. :)

Halos!
Gonna talk about today! :)
Ate Mac'donalds this morning before heading to school. :)
Afterwards, took Mrt to Serangoon and then took 100. Boy, was it squeezy! Anyway, when I reached the Aljunied bus-stop, it was filled with Dunmanians. LOL. To be expected. We waited and meanwhile, Vivianne, who was late, came down on the next 100 which had arrived.
Well, patience is a virtue. After waiting for around 10 mins, a 158 came. But we could not squeeze in as the bus was totally packed. Thus, while waiting for the bus, we started chatting and chanting a song commenting on the slow bus. AKA complain. xD At that point, I then realised that Grace was not with us. Meaning: she had managed to squeeze up the bus! Haha.
After 15 mins, we were starting to get impatient as there was no sign of the bus. It was 8.45am. The school would be starting in 15 mins.
Desperate, we flagged two taxis, one for Vivianne and her friend and an older girl. Another one for Jocelyn, Yuping, Jingwen and me! We told the taxi driver to drive faster but be cautious too. The kind driver managed to reach the school at exactly 9. However, the school gate was closed.
Then, a worker aka uncle who was in charge of the school's back gate which allowed cars to enter was so kind that he allowed us to enter the school. We thanked him and rushed to our classes.
The music which signalled the start of assembly ended just in time for me to stand in my place. Phew! What an exciting way to start a day!
By the way, I got into SOFTBALL! Yay! x)

Hello! I am super worn out but still urged myself to sit on the chair to write a post.
These 5 days, school have started officially while the year 5 and 6 students just got back so they get to enjoy orientation! *envious*
Well, we had elected the chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer and secretary. I am the science representative. :) Got to buy some science files for my class on Monday.
Went for the auditions and sports 2nd trial yesterday. I auditioned for Choir and went for the softball's 2nd trial. I got into the so-called-third-trial. :) So began the third trial. I was in the still-considering-group. Meaning I am not sure if I really wanted to take softball as a CCA if I am chosen. Jing Wen 'passed' the trial and is officially in Softball. Congratulations!!! :D I am on the reserved list as I am not sure if I should join the CCA. By the time I reached Compass Point, it was around 7. Boy, was I tired! I also have to express my thanks to Vivianne, Yuping and Jingwen for waiting for me to finish my trial yesterday! TY!
However, after discussing with my mother and father about the situation, they encouraged me to enter Sports. So, first thing on Monday, I will have to inform the teacher in-charge-of Softball.

Hello! Yesterday was terrific and fun! Although we did not win the grand prize, we still felt a sense of accomplishment and happiness. :) Here are some details of yesterday.
Last Day of Orientation - Concert
We arrived earlier to help out and saw that most of our classmates were already in the class preparing. The class spirit never felt stronger! The mascot's materials were finished and the skit has been rehearsed. What was left was the class cheer.
We then ate our sumptuous dinner. The desert was fruits and ice-cream. Yummy! Someone even mixed the ice-cream with the fruits and made it something like a banana split. Hahas. One of the SCs tried it and kept commenting that it was delicious. She should advertise for such things! Haha. From her expression, I am pretty sure that she was telling the absolute truth! :) Meanwhile, songs from different classes were played to dedicate it to some people. We dedicated the song, "Flying without wings" to ourselves! Haha, abit selfish, right? But I am not to blame. After all, I was not the one to choose the songs. :)

Mistake
At cheer 6, we stopped halfway, forgetting the cheer! We were quite frightened that we had forgotten the cheer! Argh! But we still pulled through... Hahas.

After all the classes had performed, the SCs performed by forming letters using the light sticks. The way they co-ordinated themselves were a good example to us! We should be like them and co-operate with one another. :)
Then, there was a band called SC aka Something Cool. They sang two songs I think. Seriously though, their singing is not that good. No offence though! Maybe it is because the guy's voice haven't break yet so when he is supposed to go low, he can't. Hahas.
After which, we sang our level song. I love it! :) <333>

I am suupppeeerrr excited! Today is the last day of orientation and I will be performing in a concert with my newly-made friends and classmates.
I was in the group in charge of decorating the banner. The banner is finished and looks vibrant and colourful, though it just needs a few more finishing touches. It represents different characters of us and am I proud as well as glad that I can be of some help! :)
Another group was the one which is doing the mascot, Scooby Doo. With their creativity, I am sure that the mascot will come out brilliant! They are using cardboard and some other materials to make our mascot seem as realistic as possible. Their hardwork and perseverance will soon pay off, I am sure! :D
The last group is in charge of planning the skit. The skit goes something like this:
Scooby Doo and some other characters are going to participate in a talent contest. However, Barney wants to cheat. Scooby Doo overheards the conversation between Barney and his accomplice. Scooby Doo informs the judges but they do not believe him. Thus, Scooby Doo hides a recorder/microphone behind him and questions Barney. Barney remarks, "So what if I want to cheat?" What he says is being aired in the auditorium. The judges are shocked and disqualifies him. Scooby Doo is praised for his quick thinking.
Actually, Grace and I do not really like the script of the skit. In fact, I think that since the characteristics of Kellyx is charming and affable, he should be doing something like a kind deed. Perhaps when Scooby Doo and Shaggy were eating, they heard the news reporting of the terrible state which the poor children of Africa were in. Scooby Doo and Shaggy were touched and set off for Africa with the gang in a private plane. They reached Africa in a few days and gave some free food to the kids and interacted with them. This trip left a deep impression on the gang...
Anyway, will be going to school later and then will be staying there til around 9.30pm. I will be going earlier later to help finish up the remaining work. :) Will post about the concert and take some pictures, that is, if I can. :)

Hello! Lovin my school though it is a bit big and I may get lost in it... Hahas. :D
Case of the early and late bus, 30
We took the earlier MRT, hoping to reach school before 7.30 which we had succeeded in yesterday. eThus, we followed yesterday's procedure, quite sure that our plan would work. However, when we reached the bus-stop, at the same time as yesterday, the bus did not come. Instead, we even had to wait 5 minutes later than the usual time when we took the 7.20am bus. I had checked the frequency and they said, '6 to 13 minutes'. However, we reached the bus-stop at 7am and missed the bus. And we have to wait 20 minutes before the next bus. I don't think that what they say is what they do. What's more, Dunman High had said that SBS agreed to increase the frequency of the buses which can be taken to DHS. Haiz, I hope that SBS can do something about such an incident. Thanks. :)
East Coast Park
I went, in fact, walked, to East Coast Park from the school. It was a loooonnnnggggg walk. We were tired and sweaty by the time we reached there. Sigh!
We played some games and my group won 3 out of 4 games, I think. There was a tie in one of the winning games. Woohoo! xD And I find that my group is abit funny, without a reward or anything, we would not cheer loudly, hahas. :) We picked up some fallen branches of the Casuarina trees and played the game of breaking the branch then fixing it again. After that, we will ask a friend which part of the branch was broken. It is tough and challenging but fun too!
Concert
Tomorrow, we will have a concert for those in Year One. Our class is Kellyx and our mascot is Scooby Doo cause it is brown, heehee. :P Will be posting maybe tomorrow about the happenings. :) Enjoy your school days everyone though they may be tiring.

Hiie! Third day of orientation today :)
Looked at some of the stations of CCAs. Was suuupppeeerrrr tired due to yesterday and today's climbing up and down the stairs.... x( Some of my choices for the CCAs:
1) Badminton
2) Volleyball
3) English Drama and Dance (wanna try dance?)
4) Choir
Yep, so the above are so far the choices which seem...... nice? ^.^
Badminton might not get in as there are lots of people wanting to join too... haiz. So maybe will land up in other CCAs. LOL. XP
anyway, tomorrow going to East Coast Park and bet will be tired, again. hahas. my legs are aching now.... next time must exercise more, hahas. Anyway, not sure if I should join one more CCA, if I do, all my days might not be free and I will stay back until like 6.30 everyday. So not sure, still being caught in between. Like a repeat scenerio of choosing the secondary school.
Anyway, gotta go! :)

Hello! Sorry for the long 'gap' in the time between my posts! I have been pretty busy and always getting back home at around 5pm so it is quite hard to find time to post.
I am in class 1K, K stands for kellyx, it is a colour which is something like brown. ---------->>>>>
The first day of orientation was started with a lecture by the principal and some HOA (Head of Academic) staff. Well, it was quite boring and all but at least I got some info on my subjects which I will be taking for Sec 1. :) After that, our SCs (student consellors) introduced some ice-breaker games and I knew a little more about my classmates whom I am going to be with for the next two years.....
Today aka second day of orientation, it started with the concert rep. We were supposed to perform on Friday about our class, etc. We made our identity... dunno what. hahas. some pictures of it. the 1K on top is also part of it. :D

Firstly... I just want to shout out:
Glitter Words
Oh yay! I am on par with Grace and we are gonna compete. Currently, we are having the same score, but very soon, I will have more posts than her, mwhawhawha! XP Jkjk! Oh, and I almost forgot to wish everyone a Happy New Year! May all of you strive and may business prosper! May everyone have good luck, including me! Heehee. :) Anyway, today was:

The First Day of School

First Impression
The first impression of walking into a whole new, renovated school with my brand new, stainless school uniform which has never been worn before was totally mesmerizing as well as a bit messy. The concrete ground was full of chattering students who were just as excited as the Year One students. No one knew this school like the back of their hand except for the designer as this school has had a whole new look as well as a whole new year ahead of it. And this was just the beginning.

Homecoming Concert
Our hearts beating faster than it could have been, we stared at the stage, waiting for something or anything to happen. Then, we sang the national anthem with pride and said the pledge with a few loopholes as we were not really acquainted with the chinese pledge. Even though the hall was totally air-conditioned, we were still feeling a little frustrated as the school kept asking us to stand and then sit. We watched the rest of the performance in peace but then our legs were going numb with being in the same position for a long time. I felt sleeping as my eyelids started getting heavier by the minute. But I forced myself to stay awake. Finally, after the display of dances and performances, we got ready to go to our form class...

In Class
My teacher was Ms Lee. She was a friendly and vibrant teacher who is enthusiastic in I think, almost everything. She is also a little amusing, which allows us, strangers in a class, to loosen up a bit as well as let the tense atmosphere change into a lively one. I was lucky to be in the same class as Grace, my friend from my primary school. At the end, I made friends with quite a few pupils and it was quite an accomplishment. :)

Malay Special Programme-Third Language
I went to the school's general office to collect the application form for the Malay Special Programme. What I saw was a busy woman who was too irritated to answer me properly. I was a little angry but still, understood how she felt. After all, this was the first day of school. Unsure of what to do, I asked Ms Lee for help. She checked it out with the teacher in charge and she said that I was supposed to get a form which should be found at the general office, if not, I would have to go to Bishan to collect it. I went into the general office again. This time, the teacher there explained to me that the forms were supposed to be given to them so that students could fill them up. However, they did not receive the forms so they adviced me to come again next week. I nodded my head, satisfied with the answer.

Vivo City
After the first day of school, I headed to Vivo City with Vivianne, Yuping, Grace and Maranda. I wanted to watch, "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea". The movie looks so interesting and kawaii~! But my friends, unfortunately, could not, so the idea was being pushed aside. We ate our lunch at a Kopitiam except for Vivianne who was with her mother. We then went back home, exhausted.

By the way, I brought a white bag.
